California rooms

Good evening all,
I stayed at the Main Street Station in January and was very displeased with the room, mostly the dirty bathroom that was in need of a much over due renovation. With that being said can anyone compare these rooms to the rooms at The Cal? I really like playing at Main Street but the rooms are definitely on my no return list. I recently read that the Cal was renovating their rooms. Does anyone know if they have done this yet?

the Cal, MSS, and Fremont rooms are all similar. I like the Cal the best, but i doubt if the remodel is anywhere near finished. the rooms at the Cal do have a small fridge. what sucks is the white shutters instead of room darkening drapes, and that is in all 3 of them. I stayed at the Fremont last weekend for 2 nights. the 3 of them provide basic, budget, lodging and no more. I know what to expect when I stay at a downtown Boyd property and it works out fine.

Stayed @ the Cal in early May. Rooms are ok. They were clean & comfortable. Played enough to keep getting 2 free nights anytime. Will definitely stay there. Haven't stayed lately @ MSS but was never disappointed.
