Checking Out The New Palace Station

The Palace Station is much better & they are still working on it.

The buffet was very good.  Went for lunch; very busy, & the food was very good.  i have found the food at Stations to be as good or better than most of the overpriced strip buffets

Wish they had better vp. Seems like they downgraded all their slots.

Better vp?  What game are they missing?

I'm refering to quanity vs quality. Most vp machines have unaccptable pay tables. Better selections at other Station casinos.

The bartop VP has linked progressives that go accross all their properties.   Sometimes that can get interesting when the jackpot gets pretty high.

But I agree the outlying proerties tend to be more player friendly.      I've become a big fan of Boulder Station and Fiesta Rancho.

P J you explained it much better than I. Everything about the new PS is an improvement but my belief is that they don't have enough playable vp and a high hold on other types of machines. Wish they had what Boulder has for their vp selection.

They are missing FPDW @25.cents for one and I believe only about 6 upright NSUD. Those are in at least 25. And 50 cent, not sure about 1.00

It’s a good looking place and the remodel of the rooms are nicely done.

Last trip, I stopped in Palace Station for the "All You Can Eat Pancakes" from midnight to 6 AM. Well, for me, all you can eat was two-thirds of the first plate. In any event, the renovated coffee shop is nice, but it's more open than the previous incarnation, so less friendly in terms of having a conversation.

The place looks spiffy, very different. I did not get to try the new buffet.

One big difference, to me, was air quality. On a Saturday night when the Orleans air was brutal, Palace Station (which at one point had air as bad as anywhere) had pretty good air. Something's been done. It was very different from previously.

Anyone else find the air quality a big improvement?
