Stayed there in December for three nights and got a spacious three room, 1 BR suite. It is physically connected to the Miracle Mile Mall and Planet Hollywood. It was a unit on the 20th floor facing south with floor to ceiling windows in the living room and the bedroom providing exceptional views of MGM, MGM Signature, City Center, and Monte Carlo (as well as distant views of McCarran runways).

They also had smaller one room studio units with just kitchenettes for $80 to $100 per night, but I went with the larger three room suite based on a special weekday AAA discount that brought the cost down from $170 to $126 per night. The unit was very large and sleek (bordering on almost too sleek for my taste but not tacky (except for teh massive hottub in the bedroom). But the unit had a full-sized, eat-in kitchen with dishwasher, coffee maker, and microwave, granite counters, large stainless steel fridge, etc.. There were four flat-screen TVs (kitchen; living room; bedroom; and bathroom) as well as a projection TV that displayed on an enormous, automated, wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling white window shade.

In addition to double sink vanity and oversized shower stall with rainhead showerhead in the bathroom, it had a washer and dryer combo. Unlike the l-o-n-g walk from the self-parking garage to Planet Hollywood, Elara is directly connected to the Miracle Mile parking garage without having to walk through the Miracle Mile Mall to get to the hotel. They also have valet but I only used it once on the first day and he valet was okay, but after you unload all your stuff, it is quicker to park on the third level of the self park garage and you can access the Elara lobby in just a few steps.

They have a nice ourdoor pool if you go in the spring or summer and there is no resort fee. But if you want wi-fi there is a $10 or $11 day fee or perhaps a lower package price if you take it for multiple days. You can walk to the strip pretty quickly indoors through the MMM

I’ve stayed at other standard rooms on the strip at PH, the Mirage and TI, and this was a much nicer experience. I wouldn't say it is equal to the level of decor of the Venetian Wynn or Palazzo, but it is equal to a 4 star room at PH but obviously much much larger and more fully-equipped.

I've also stayed at a few other vacation type condos in Vegas on rentals and on trades such teh Wyndham Grand adn Holiday Inn Vacation Suites and this was the best located and overall nicest I've stayed at so far.

Hey, thanks that was great info on the hotel. Just wanted some confirmation on what I was reading on trip advisor and other sites. The info on the parking and valet was especially helpful as I was not finding anything on the internet on that.

Think I will go for it, probably the junior suite as I can get it for around $94 per night.
