I have just gotten the same offer as I have every year for after my one year renewal for sapphire status.
This is what I was told: My offers are usually from the California downtown. My core properties are the three downtown properties California, Main Street and Fremont. If I use the offer for any of these, than this is considered a trip and figured into you average amount for comped offers. I used to get offers for the Orleans so this would have the same effect. However if I stayed at the SunCoast, this would not effect my other offers in any way, and in fact if you played at all, you may start to receive offers for that property. There is no negative effect to going to a property which you do not usually frequent. All of this makes sense as you may be at one level at one Boyd property, and a different level at another Boyd property if your play is different. They would like to have you stay, and get established at another property.
