Hi cats. For your approval, I post the following groovy review.
Stayed at the Palms Feb 16-22. They now call the original Palms Tower, The Ivory Tower, and that is where we stayed.
* We had room 53106. Very top room floor.
* The only elevators that reached our floor were the Two (2) Floors 50-53 & Ghost Bar elevators. LOVED IT! The instant you pushed the botton, the elevator doors opened. During the day, if you went up, most likely if you used the elevator again within an hour it was still on your floor. Fastest elevator service in Vegas history.
* Complete floor was redone. Carpets, paint, lighting, etc. Nice
* We were the probably in the first 10 people to use the room since the remodel. They started low and worked up.
* Great door, locked easy, slow very strong self-closing. Key card always worked.
* Very good but not amazing King bed. Cool, comfortable desk chair, lounge chair.
* One inch flat 50 inch LCD TV. Very nice.
* So-so curtains and black out blinds. They needed to be pulled several times to stay in place. Auto-blinds would have been nice.
* Bathroom. I give it 3.5 out of a possible 5 toilets. Groovy no-door shower with lots of H2O volume. Good lighting. Small but ample vanity. Good below vanity storage. Toilet area could not be seperated from main bathroom so it was a "one at a time" bathroom.
* Quiet but not Wynn quiet .
* Fully stocked mini bar. Room safe. Nicely place mirrors.
* Lots of power outlets. No in room coffee maker.
* Good security in the elevator lobby at night. Never heard Ghost Bar rejects rambling around.
