when you check in at the desk, ask and they will tell you specifically which food outlets qualify. and they do usually have to be charged to your room. TGIF'S has good happy hour specials.
I used mine at TGIF for both breakfast and dinner in February.
There was also a coupon in the booklet given at check-in that had buy 1 entrée get 1 entrée free at Friday's with purchase of a drink. We used that along with the food credit.
