Gold Coast Finally Getting In - Room Safes

Hey gang....

I just got back from a stay at the Gold Coast and I found out that they are in the process of installing in-room safes. Apparently there are already a bunch of rooms which are complete with safes. So, when you check in it might be a good idea to see if they can give you a room with a safe.

I am not sure when this is to be all completed.

Thanks for posting that news. Will be staying at the GC in Dec. Usually stay 2 nights at GC every trip and one of my complaints has long been the absence of a safe.

staying at GC 11-6 thru 11-9. first time staying there. play vp. where should i play?
i know there's a shuttle to Orleans. stayed there two years ago. a lot bigger
casino but the smokiest i've been in. is vp comparable? i know i can look on
the vpfree site, but it's nice to hear from someone that's actually been there.

Just got back Thur. I play quarter 9/6 Jacks or better. Gold Coast has some. The best Orleans has is 9/5. Every flush you get you are short $1.25.

Stayed at the GC in early Dec 2015 and again in mid March 2016. No safe in our room in Dec but there was one in our room in March. In March we were on the 4th floor whereas in December we were on one of the highest floors. If a safe is a deal breaker, better ask at reception for a room with one.

Glad to know about the safes. We'll be there next week.
By the way we play NSUD VP at both the Gold Coast and Orleans.
Normally stay at Orleans, but Gold Coast was free on a Saturday night...

Stayed @ Gold C. April 30th & May 1st. Our car was broken into in the garage & half of our stuff was stolen. I see today there is a stand-off with police in the garage. My recommendation is to use valet if you have anything valuable left in your car.
