Gold Coast Invitational Parties

Has anyone gone to one of Gold Coast's invitational parties? We got an offer and decided to book it and are wondering what we should expect. The mailer gives us two nights free and includes a Big Game Finals viewing party to include "great food and drinks, special prize giveaways and much much more". We just aren't sure if we want to change our plans one evening to attend this party.

As always, any advice is appreciated.

Usually any invited function by a casino is a done up real nice, ...... good food, open bars, live band, etc.

I got the same invite and was already booked for that weekend. Just changed the res. I am also very curious as to what to expect bat the party on 3/31.

I finally e-mailed Gold Coast regarding the party. Here's their response: "The party should be lots of fun. There will be food and drink specials only and a few small giveaways during the game. Since it is the Final Four we do not have the times available currently. If you call the hotel operator closer to the event she will be able to provide that information."

I'm glad I asked, now I don't need to waste my time showing up.

.... it's the word "specials" that I don't like.
It sounds like you're going to have to pay for your food and drinks.
I'd rather see it say "free food and drinks".

Sounds like your invite includes 2 free nights, you get to see the game(s) on a huge screen,
and to party with others, all having the possiblity of winning small prizes.

Unless you're really into the games, it might not be worth it.

Exactly Rick. I appreciate how honest the employee was in saying "specials" and "few small giveaways". I'm pretty sure we're going to cancel our reservation too. I was just going to use the room to take a nap after the champagne brunch at the Rio.

We'll still play there though. We really like Gold Coast. We eat at the Palms or Rio, then play at the Gold Coast.

If you are there at the GC, stop by the party and check it out.
If they won't let you in "for a minute" tell them that you want to see "for next year",
or ask someone who's going in or out what's going on inside?, and how good is the party?.
Then you will know, so if you get the same invite next year.
