GVR or Aliante

Sunset, which is now off my list, had a kiosk, where one could print a coupon for the value of their points, near the registration desk. The woman who helped me at the registration desk (hotel check out) said the value of points is greater when you use them for room charges instead of directly for food or other items. I asked if I could use the value of my points toward room charges, no one offered. Nor, did I expect them to.
Lisa, the points are used to buy Station Bucks (@ 600 points = $1), which come in the form of a comp voucher you can give to the check-out desk to pay for your hotel bill. This is the same value you would get if you used your points to eat at a Station-owned restaurant (or to play bingo, or to buy concert tickets). These are all 600 points = $1.

Non-Station-owned restaurants are 1,000 points = $1, and it's the same cost if you use your points for slot play or movie tickets.

Just booked my last comps for August. Starting out with 2 comped nights at Aliante (must find SueCasey) 8/19-21 then after 1 night at the Orleans I have 2 comped nights at Green Valley Ranch 8/22-24 and tonite my 8/1-10/30 free room offer revealed itself and I booked the Red Rock 8/24-26. All 3 Aliante, GVR and RR will be a first for my girl (she stayed at the Palace Station for 3 days last year).

You have receievd some pretty detailed responses so far. Not sure what I could add after I return from Vegas. Let me know if there is anything in particular that you are looking for that makes your stay more enjoyable and I'll be sure to speak to that.

I Love those Station folks!!!!!

T- 29 days and counting!!!

I'd chose Aliante simply because I lost my A$$ the last time I played at GVR and Sunset Station. I've been luckier in Aliante's casino.
