Has anyone stayed in a Palms salon suite?

I was wondering if anyone has stayed in a Palms salon suite. I have 2 comp nights there next month. I have stayed the Wynn, the Venetian and in the HRH suites at the Hard Rock. I was wondering how it compares to those places. Usually Vegas suites are not truly suites but just separate areas for sleeping and socializing. I'm sure the room will be fine after all it is comped and I likely will be downstairs stimulating the local economy at the blackjack tables and video poker machines. Just curious what they are like. One more specific question, do these suites have mini refrigerators? Those are always nice to keep beverages cold.

thanks to all that respond.

The Salon Suites are okay. If you've stayed in suites at the finer hotels then you WILL be disappointed. They are indeed REAL suites with a separate bedroom with ensuite bath. I think the bathroom is pretty decent. The suite is fairly good sized with a decent sized tv in the living space. It has a roundish couch and chair with coffee table and a small wet bar area with NO fridge for your stuff. I get this comped with not much play in my opinion. Because of that, I think it is a good deal.

It's free and above decent...enjoy!
I love it! The windows in the bath allow you to sit in the whirlpool and watch the planes land. The beds at the Palms are the best!!! I love the living room, the tv's are awesome! I will be staying in one shortly!
Thanks for the feedback. I've stayed at the Wynn and Venetian and just wanted to know how the Salon Suites at the Palms compare to those. It sounds like the Palms will be slightly less luxurious but I am happy to be comped even regular rooms. I am not a big money player but I've definitely made some donations at the Palms' VP machines and blackjack tables.

It sounds like I will at least enjoy a nice view.

Sooner, I would get a nice drink, then go to your room. Get the spa going, turn the lights down and watch the planes take off and land. It will make you forget all your loses or enjoy all your winnings.

One more thing, the beds at that hotel are the best I have ever slept on. I would love to steel one for home. HUGE and comfortable. I never sleep in vegas, but I seem to do well on their beds.
We are fortunate that our slot host has comped us 5 nights in a two bedroom Salon Suite in July. We are taking our two sons one of whom is turning 21. We are used to staying at The Mirage, our slot host used to be there years ago so that is how we know him. We have stayed in a Suite at the Mirage, and am curious if The Salon Suite is maybe about on par with The Mirage? And do you think all the bathrooms (jacuzzis) in the Salon Suites have windows where you can see outside? That would be different.
If you get a corner salon suite, then there is only one bathroom with the whirlpool. The one's connecting to another room, you will have 2 and I believe both are whirlpool.
Thanks again everyone and I will be sure to report back about these rooms after I leave Vegas on Feb 22nd.

SoonerHutch
Sooner, we will be leaving the palms on the 23rd. Have fun and I will save you some money.
