Help with we're to stay

Hello all,

Three of us will be going to Vegas the first week of June. Any suggestions on where to stay? Looking to spend not more than $150 a night per person. Strip is prefered. Would separate rooms be the way to go? We are three buddies looking to eat well, gamble, and enjoy life.

Thanks in advance

kdigman:-- Check the "SEMI ANNUAL SALE-- CAESARS ENTERTAINMENT" PROMO BOX ON RIGHT SIDE OF THIS LVA. I just checked the Imperial Palace (now The Quad)--MID STRIP-- pricing thru June 2013. The room prices range from 5 night stay ($17..00 per night) to 3 night stay ($22.00 per night)-- AT THESE PRICES BOOK SEPERATE ROOMS--. There is no "right" answer here. I take it this is your first trip to Vegas? If it's 3 buddies going to gamble, drink, party etc I see no reason to waste money on 3 rooms, you won't be in them much. You didn't mention if you are going over a weekend or only during the week, there is a big price difference between Friday/Saturday and Sun/Thurs. You'll get a wide range of opinions on where to stay. One person will rave about a hotel, another will have had a bad experience and tell you to never stay there. You can get a reasonably priced room with a good location. Somewhere like Harrahs' or Bally's or Luxor, etc... Not a dump, not high end. Based on your post you're willing to spend up to $450 a night total so if you do want to splurge a bit there are some great deals on suites that will easily accomodate 3 people. Or even somewhere like the Rio which has a standard room (suite) of 600 sq feet.

I would suggest going online and joining the rewards clubs, such as TotalRewards and Mlife. even though you've never played there you can get good email offers.

I would recommend several options for booking a hotel. Go directly to the hotel website, try the travel sites if you are familiar with them. Call the hotel directly. And call a travel agent, often they have some good specials you can't get anywhere else. If you check rate online, log in under your rewards ID first (if you joined), the rates you get will almost always be better.

Don't overlook downtown, even if you prefer to stay on the strip (understandable if this is your first trip), you still want to go downtown. Lots of fun, cheap casinos and somewhat of an "old" Vegas feel.
Thanks for the replies.

You are right, I should give more information. I have the following cards mlife/red/CET, just most of my offers end in May. I am not a frequent guest in Vegas.

Looking to stay Wednesday-Saturday. A suite would be best. Thought those would be more than a 1k a night.

One of the guys is asking me to look into TheHotel and places like that. The other guy is just asking for no bed bugs. I am in the middle, which is why the price point I am thinking is up to $150 a night per man. Fun to be the planner right. lol

If I go the suite route any places to check out?

Me thinking out loud here.

I also like the idea of three singles next to each other, so that wouldn't be the worst. The idea of the suite is appealing so that we can hang out a bit more.

Thanks,

trying pricing a room on a search engine such a travel zoo or expedia, then compare what you find there with what the hotel website has to offer. Alot of places will match or beat what you find online. As far as where to stay I would check out somewhere mid strip (Bally's, Flamingo).
Log into your CET account, click on reservations, enter the dates and see what is available. While the rooms at Rio are not true suites, they are larger and have a place to hang out. Try for a remolded room in the Ipanema Tower.

Wait a bit...June offers will be out.
Look into Mirage offers, since you have mLife account.
Ballys, PH, or Harrah's since you have a CET account.
Thanks for everyones input. Ended up going with MGM, with a promo code from LVA. A King Suite connected to a Queen room. Total came to about $100 a man per night, so success there.

Now to plan the food and fun!!!

Thanks Again.
Cool! Make sure to take pics and post them! I'd love to see what the room looks like and how it's planned-out.
