High wknd rates July / Aug.

Whats going on the end of July and Aug. I'm trying to get rates and they are all over $100 for non-strip and downtown properties. Any help?

I am not sure what is going on either. Looking at hotels for Aug 29th and on into the early part of the week. They are pretty high, some are even higher then they are for labor day weekend. Maybe a big convention is in town? Looking at the newsletter there is nothing there about a convention. I am stumped.

At a quick glance.....
7/10-14th 27k conventioneers at Mandalay bay and 12k at Las Vegas Convention center.

8/2-5th 44k Conventioneers at the Las Vegas Convention center and 50k at the World market center.

looks like those 2 weekends, you def want to avoid Vegas!!

I don't see much of anything special the last weekend in August other than 5,000 attending at convention at the Las Vegas Convention center (8/24-9/7)
