I Need Help Answering a Question?

My friends asked me this and I don't have any idea what too tell them?

They are looking for a Hotel/Motel in the Las Vegas Strip area. The main issue is convience and not having to walk far from the car to your room. They have two kids and the mom is recovering from a stroke so it's better if she dose not have to walk really far. They don't care if it has a casino? I can't help them with this one? I've seen a lot of places near or on Paradise, but did not know if their was a really great place?

(One time I got a trip from a time share . . . . . and they put me in America's best Value Inn on Tropicana, YUCK, we checked in and then went and stayed somewhere else. I don't know what was worse the room or the drunk guys at Motel Six yelling things at everyone that walked bye?)

Thanks for any suggestions

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn on Paradise years ago...I don't know it's condition today, but it sounds like it fits the bill.
You didn't mention the age of the kids or any budget considerations however my wife and I tossed the question around about have a few ideas.

First no mater how close your car is to your room remember that everything in Vegas is a longer walk then it seems. Just think of walking from Bellagio parking decks to the Botanical Gardens then the Fountains or walking through the Forum Shops. You should rent her a scooter. There is a current thread "Any tips on getting around with a leg in a cast?" in Las Vegas (General). Also get a handicap permit for the car, mine is a life savior.

As kzwrel mentioned there is a Fairfield on Paradise. There are also quite a few other non-casino business/family motels including Platinum condo/hotel.

Our best suggestion is to book Signature at MGM Grand. It is a separate condo/hotel that has a family pool and separate parking. It is connected to MGM which is one of the most family friendly properties in town. The suites have kitchenettes which is great for families. It's web site is https://www.signaturemgmgrand.com units can also be rented directly from private owners through vrbo.com

What about Ellis Island? It's not right on the Strip, but it's close and, being a Super 8, chances that you can park right at your room are pretty good.

I'm thinking mostly of the convenience factor. I can't speak to the quality and cleanliness of the hotel, but you could probably find out something on tripadvisor or other sites where travelers rate different hotels, restaurants, etc.
The kids are 7 and 4 and she has a Scooter she takes with her. And as far as price for the room they would easily spend over a $100 a night and not think anything about it! I'm always going for the comp room so I could not answer this.

Thanks for the info!

Closest parking that I have seen is the LV Hilton. It is also very close to the monorail and is an easy hotel to get around. Room quality is very good.
Hilton is a block off the strip but with car and monorail options that should not be an issue.
I've never stayed there but I have heard that Bill's Gambling Hall has very convenient self parking, plus the distance from your room to the strip is extremely close. It's also in a very central strip location and the price shouldn't be exorbitant.
They won't be gambling?
Tuscany or Terribles might be a couple of places to Consider.
