If you are concerned about the potential of people not being vaccinated keep your distance or gamble at off times. No one should require anyone to show vax papers. This is America stop the madness, so glad all these restrictions are going away. Florida, Texas and Georgia have all provided the data to support getting rid of all the ridiculousness. So glad Vegas is there now as well. Been out there 5 times the last year and can't wait to get back in 3 weeks!😎

The 7 day national and local averages have shown a significant decline.  If attendance at events were "superspreaders" as liberals wouls like us to believe those states would not be showing declines.

A state could be showing an overall decline even if a superspreader event resulted in an increase in cases. For instance: 10,000 fewer cases without the event. The event causes 2,000 new cases. There's still a decline of 8,000 cases overall. Get it?

That large gatherings cause transmission of the virus is a simple fact, and has nothing to do with political ideology. Being a stupid-ass Republican (like yourself) apparently makes you believe that large gatherings don't result in infections, but that's not the reality.

It's ignorance and stupidity like yours that is aiding the pandemic and continuing to cause thousands of avoidable deaths. You'd think that true-blue AMURRICANS, as conservatives claim to be, would want to eradicate Covid.

Oh, come on. "This is America" doesn't mean that you have unlimited freedom and can act however you please, and it never has. You and I do NOT have the "Freedumb!" to behave irresponsibly and endanger others.

Florida, Texas, and Georgia are run by stupid, evil Republicans (who, among other things, want to stop people from voting). So when they do something, such as removing all pandemic restrictions, that's ipso facto proof that it shouldn't be done. The data you mention actually support keeping restrictions in place until the population reaches a certain level of vaccinations, which those states are nowhere near at this point. Of course, Republican officials gain political favor by acting as it the pandemic is over---and the public responds "woo hoo!" and happily goes to the monster truck rally or rodeo to infect each other once again.

It's silly that you call pandemic precautions "ridiculousness." That "ridiculousness" has saved hundreds of thousands of lives, including quite possibly yours. So you've been a little bit inconvenienced. So you haven't been able to go outside and play. So goddamn what!

I attended the Indy 500 on Sunday along with 134,999 others.  While the race was limited to 40% attendance capacity, people packed into the corners with about 80% of the bench seats full.  I saw three people wearing masks the entire day.

How wonderful!

I officiate high school sports in the NY met area. The number of in game transmissions for hoops, football & baseball have been zero. Games have been cancelled due to local transmission.
