Las Vegas Hilton - Friday nights "Old school by the Pool"

Has anyone attended this? The "Very Friendly" operator at The Tropicana (after telling me that my comp room offer at the TROP 3 years ago, does not exist anymore) began to share with me some old school entertainment options. 1 option that she shared with me was the Fridays "Old school by the pool" event(s) that they have during the summer at the LVH (formerly the Las Vegas Hilton).

I'm looking for relaxing old school activity in mid August , since the Indigo lounge will be taken over by Taylor Hicks during our stay at Planet Hollywood. They, Indigo lounge, always seem to have the BEST old school R&B Bands! And the price was right...FREE!

I recently had a room at LVH, but it was on the Monorail side. Couldn't see the pool. Sorry Champ.

Hey Champ.... I totally agree with you on your opinion about the Indigo Lounge. They always had some great RnB acts there and as you said, "... the price was right".

Yessuuuurrr! The Indigo lounge is the main reason why my girl wants me to change my 5 nights comped at Planet Hollywood to Ballys. She's never stayed at PHo and only once as a guest of my LIL sis at Ballys (in a 2 bedroom suite). But she is making 1 hell of an argument when the Indigo lounge comes up ( plus the fact that Ballys has limit hold em poker).

I spent a late afternoon at the former Las Vegas Hilton's daily pool party in 2010. The only signs of a party were a weary Tommy Rocker playing some rock tunes on his guitar to a backing track and some food and drink specials. It would be have seemed pretty nice at a Topeka Holiday Inn 40 years ago, but not in Vegas 2012. Aside from the nice pool, it wasn't much.
