I left this out of my trip report about LVH. The Resorts Club room we had was nice and everything worked. We had a marketing offer with a room upgrade to Resorts Club room for $25 a night. I'm concerned about the elevator maintenance. The North Tower outside elevator is closed and I doubt they plan on activating it again as there are permanent signs at each floor(well the 4 floors I checked) to let you know it is closed. These signs are at the elevator, so if you go up the main elevators and later plan to go to the North Parking garage, you wouldn't know until you walked all the way to the North Tower outside elevator on that floor that it wasn't working.
We were on the 24th floor and when you pushed the "down" elevator button at North tower inside elevators half the bracket holding the button pushed into the wall.
So 2 of my reasons for staying at LVH are gone. Hilton connection with free morning buffet for gold and above Hilton Honors members. And the North Tower outside elevator, loved to take this elevator, easy to get luggage into and out of hotel without walking it through the casino.
My favorite night time beverage server who has been there forever is still there. Told me as long as she keeps working they are still contributing to her pension, so she plans to stay as long as they let her stay. She said 20% of the staff was laid off, her seniority kept her employed.
