M Resort one-bedroom suite

Does anyone know how much it might cost to upgrade to a one-bedroom suite at M? I'm waiting on a reply from a host to this request.
I had always been curious about that too. So on one of the last times I was there, I asked at checkout what the prices were for upgrading. What she told me was a good idea: call the resort a few days before you checkin and ask for an upgrade. They normally hold on to those suites in case they give them to high rollers. and if it doesn't pan out to fill every one, you can potentially score a "lower cost" upgrade. Unless you're a borderline high roller already, I suspect you'll have to pay in a bit more - but she made it sound like the affordability factor is greater closer to the point of occupation.

Let me know what you find out.
Host said my 2-night comp room will be upgraded to classic one-bedroom suite for $150/night.
Since I'm a low-roller at M, I thought that sounded reasonable for a special occasion: four couples meeting to celebrate 178 (combined) years of wedded bliss.
very nice! I have no doubt you'll all enjoy it!

I am so ingrained not to spend any money on a room-- I think $35.00 a night would be my top extra and i would still feel cheated..
The rooms are so nice as it is there..

NC - I totally agree. I always stay in comped rooms/suites. Haven't paid for a room in LV in 20 years. But this is a rather special get-together, and we needed a "party room" for 8 us - with approx. 1100 sf. So here it is.....

It's not everyday that you can get together with folks you've known since junior high and celebrate 46, 45, 44, & 43 year anniversaries!
Wife and I got to stay in a one-bedroom suite there once. Neighbor wouldn't shut their very loud bathroom TV off. We asked to move to another room and they didn't have any regular rooms left, so they moved us to the suite. (customer service is awesome at M!)

That room is very nice and will be good for eight people to get together in, but eight would be the max I would have in there unless your hanging out in the bedroom too.

I'm staying at the M on Sunday and Monday of this coming week. If it was forty or fifty per night, I would upgrade myself and that's for just me and the wife. But, as a previous poster said, their standard rooms are quite nice!

Do it and do it right!!!
I am so excited for you!!!!! Brava/Bravo!

here.
for you- this is a song from a broadway play called "IS THERE LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL" from Barry Manilows Broadway album

The Kid Inside

There's a kid inside
And I have him with me always.

There's a kid inside
Walking down old high school hallways

There's a kid inside
At a desk, at a dance, in the halls,in the showers

There's a kid inside
To this very day

And he makes a try for that high pop fly
That I fumbled one september

And he makes a fuss
Over some A plus
That I shouldn't still remember

And he goes along
Getting hurt, getting mad, fighting fights that are over

And unless I'm strong
All my senses are carried away

I can feel my hand
My tremblin hand
On Rochell's angora sweater

I can hear my band
That awful band,..only now it sounds much better

I can see the kid
The kid I use to be
On the stage,on the field,on the lunch line

I can feel him tugging at me
Every time I think I don't care, I blink

And he's there again

He's there again!

Fighting ancient wrongs
Humming old hit songs in my head
Singing come along,come along
Come along for the ride

To a time and place
I could not forget if I tried

And I never know when the breeze'll blow
With a rush of old sensation

Why the kid should wake
And my heart should ache
Everytime I smell carnations

Something rings the bell
Any thing at all
All it takes is a slam of a locker

Or the switch from summer or fall
A change in season
Seems barely reason,

But there he goes

He's there again
Fighting ancient wrong
Humming old hit songs in my head
Singing come along, come along
Come along for the ride

To a time and place
I could not for get if I try

There he goes again
Hummin his songs

He's there again
There's a kid inside...
Agnes - I had the pleasure of staying in a suite like this once shorthly after the M opened and I can say that you will just love it. You will have plenty of room to bring in your eats & drinks and keep them in the bar area. If your're interested, you can also sit in the spa tub and open the shade and you can see all the way to the lights on the strip as the outside wall in the bedroom is nothing but glass from floor to celing. I think it is also like this in the living area of the suite. Please take some pictures and share them with us after your trip is completed.
Waaaayyy back when the M was comping two free nights to this low-roller, we opted for the one bedroom suite once. Cost us $100/night when checking in. The living/bar area is perfect for your small group, especially with the 1/2 bath just inside the door. We loved the layout of the full bath-lots and lots of room. The whole feel of the master bedroom side was just larger than their regular rooms. Although, I totally agree with others, that M's standard room is top-notch.
