Steve
Thanks Big Brother , but I'm all set for my room those days. I'll be staying at Bally's. I'm just trying to get into the tournament but I'm feeling optimistic.

Stevecnj, thanks for your good wishes. I received the flyer as well for the Stations October event but those dates don't work for me. Here's to us both yelling Bingo at our respective events.
FFlowers,

So how was the Plaza $150k Super Bingo Extravaganza. Did you get in? Did you win?
Got in, didn't win, but really enjoyed it. One person seated at my table of four one $1k in the early bird game and one person two seats over from me won $2k during the regular mega bingo session.

Lots of gaming fun and some entertainment for relatively little money. Even with the extra packs, I spent about a total of $350 (including the initial $130) for almost 8 hours of bingo over 2 days. Also, I got $20 in free play initially but there were apparently some major problems with some of the rooms in which Bingo players were being used as guinea pigs for the "soft" open, so, to make things right, they added an extra $20 in FSP to EVERYONE's account who was in the Bingo tourney, even if you were not staying there (I wasn't), so I had a total of $40 FSP from the Bingo event plus the $5 in FSP from my ACG coupon. I also by accident got a $10 food voucher, which I used for lunch. They also said EVERY player, including those not staying there last weekend, would get one free night at the Plaza between now and the end of the year. I may take them up on the offer and stay there between Christmas and New Year's.

By the way, the first floor of the Plaza looks great. It has kind of a Red Rock feel to it minus the crystal and it actually smells NEW because of the new carpeting etc. The entire first floor has been renovated. There is a Hash House a Go Go, which opened today, and a few other new restaurants that will soon open. It really is "A Classic Reborn." Many kinks to be worked out but folks will be really shocked -- pleasantly so -- when walking into the Plaza again for the first time.

Good to hear---wife sometimes plays in the Plaza Bonanza, but avoids the weekend events so she wasn't interested in going to this one. She is entered in the first Riviera Bingo Blowout (or whatever they call it) in October. But, so pleased about your report on the new Plaza. I'm sure some of the early-opening kinks will get worked out over time. Thanks.
fflowers.
how did the new bingo room lookl?do they have new electronic units? Have you tried out the new riviera bingo yet?
Steve
Stevecnj, There's no new Bingo room yet. The second floor of the casino looks exactly the same but I believe the plan is to renovate the second floor, including the Bingo room, as well.
do do they have the regularly scheduled bingos at the plaza or are they still at the las vegas club?
Yep. Plaza still has the regularly-scheduled Bingo, or I guess I should say it started up again post the soft opening. Enjoy the next time you are there!
