My first COSMO stay.............Yes, recommended!

Not sure How I deserved a comp stay at Cosmo & some FP, but soon as I had
an opportunity............I booked it. LOVED it.

I did a heavy play day (like we were taught) for the offer I was on,
and then paced myself, and did some other things during my stay.
Like, had my hair done at Ballys, couple days ago.........using some of those comp dollars we
earned (scammed) thru Race to rewards last year. lol

Also, spent Alot of time enjoying my room at Cosmo. OMG the VIEW!!!!

Fflowers was in town too, and she checked into Cosmo the day before me. I think she had a
3 night comp, while mine was only 2 but thats all I needed.

She checked in and I saw her room on the 60th Floor. OMG the HEIGHT!!! We were almost to
the Top of the Eiffel Tower across the street. Directly below was the Bellagio fountains.
Spectacular View. Even better than AT Bell. lol
FF did NOT want to go out on the balcony. We both got the Willys!!!!

So, when I went to check in the day after FF...........I asked to Please put me near my friend,
yada yada..........Boothling said........'I don't have a room on 60, but will 68 do?"

SURE! lol

OMG, Even HIGHER!!! I was at the TOP of the Eiffel Tower, and the only rooms that looked
higher, was Top of Palazzo. We were above Wynn & everybody else!

Took me awhile to get used to going out on the Balcony. I don't like heights, but eventually
got used to it (its glass on the lower half of the railing, and then OPEN. Yes you CAN easily JUMP! OMG.

FF and I hung out alot.........she Might do a TR, so she can fill you in on her trip.
She had Food comps at Cosmo, and treated me to Wicked Spoon. We both LOVED it.

Had my Realtor friend Robin over to Cosmo too, & we ate pizza from the Secret pizza place in my room.
From the 68th floor, you just go down the elevator to the 3rd floor, and Pizza is just around the corner.
Easy peasy & Excellent pizza. Only about $4 per slice. About the size of a slice from Costco, but Better.

I know other folks have stayed at Cosmo, but I must admit, I have a New fav.
I thought Wynn, Bell, and Palazzo were the best, And Augustus..............

But seeing the View from Cosmo?

If they ever send me another Comp offer...............I WILL BOOK IT.
I agree...................Living in Vegas if I were to take an overnighter in town it would definitely be at the Cosmopolitan. The room I had on a comp stay was wonderful and the restaurants are super. They really think outside of the box and in my books it is a winner.
CLV: how much play had you given Cosmo to get that comp?

fredo
Wooo hooo, CLV! Hooray for the comp!
Hey, they know quality...you!

I played there when they first opened, probably lost $300 in 30 minutes. Nothing in my mailbox except an insult...$5 free play, I think it was.

Gotta try that pizza!

fredo, I haven't been able to get on my acct. online, but honestly........whatever I played? Wasn't enuf. lol
I CAN tell you the few times I made a pitstop there...........I lost. Maybe that helped grease the wheel?
"Lets book all the LOSERS~"

Candy, thanks, lol, hey we definately gotta walk over there from Bell & take da'boys when were all
in town. We are looking forward to seeing MOB with you guys on Sun. after you arrive. Plan on it!

Edited to say..........just got a new Offer from Cosmo, same 2 nite stay & only $75 FP, lol, but
its good thru Aug. 31. Can't wait to use it. YAY!
Been crazed with work since I got back and will write a report soon but gotta say right now how much I enjoyed staying at the Cosmolitan. Agree 100% with everything CLV said.

The casino seems a little "cold" in terms of the furnishing but I gradually started feeling that "in the womb" feeling. But, the rooms? . . . . SPECTACULAR!!!

The finishing touches are EXTRAORDINARY!!!!!! The toiletries are by Bigelow and have a heavenly LAVENDER scent. To die for! Sheets are amazing! Knees wobbly on balcony so couldn't stand out there long but took naps in probably the most comfy bed ever looking out the window with my balcony door open and 60 floors up with a slight breeze coming through. NIRVANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shower is AMAZINGLY beautiful. Living room area is the bomb. Beautiful leather-topped desk with GOOD lighting (I had to work 3-5 hours every morning so decent lighting in room was critical for me). Totally MADE for relaxing but if you gotta work while in Vegas like I do -- the price I have to pay for an 8-day trip --the room is perfect.

TWO large HDTV screens. Loving accessing everything in the room from lights to temperature via the remote and TV. Did NOT take me but a minute to figure out. Refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher with sink in the room but so tasteful everything looks like furniture. Room comes with two robes for use while there but two pairs of disposable slippers to take with you. Different books and magazines, and not just concerning Vegas. I had the Atlantic issue for the month and CLV had Food and Wine. Leather accessories come in an orange Hermes color. The rooms are really decorated with lots of accessories and CLV and I had somewhat different accessories. One touch was the very tasteful white stationary with soft gray envelopes that had a subtle Cosmpolitan written on the back. The writing utensils? COLORED PENCILS! It's like someone wanted a touch of whimsy in the room. Absolutely delightful! But, CLV and I had DIFFERENT colored pencils. That's the kind of detail that is in these rooms. Someone who was freakishly meticulous designed and decorated them.

Though not the largest, it was the best room I've ever enjoyed and the view? My God. Amazing. Not all rooms have balconies. CLV and I had the Terrace Studio with Balcony and Fountain View. I want the same room when I am back in Vegas for my birthday trip in August, unless I can get the one bedroom, which I saw online. You've GOT to check out the photos of the one bedrooms on the website. Lord have mercy. Rooms are so nice that if I won money I WOULD PAY TO STAY THERE and I never thought I'd say such a thing.

CLV and I missed the $20.12 lunch at Milos (gotta do next time!) but I ate there solo for dinner my first night there/night before CLV checked in and dinner was expensive (about $150 including tip and I only had one glass of wine) but it was covered by the $300 food comp that I came with my offer and dinner was frickin DIVINE!!

Cocktail service was excellent. Machines all new. CLV said coffee drinks she had were the best. Cosmo needs to get the online account situation together but points are accumulated very quickly and can be exchanged, down to the penny, for FSP right at the machine. AMAZING. And same ratio as exchange for food or spa comps.

Stopped by the fitness center. Had planned to work out and had gym clothes on but went in, saw people sweating, decided I didn't want to do, grabbed a granny smith apple that was in a fruit bowl, and then went to eat at Wicked Spoon for breakfast. LOL. But, for those exercise buffs, fitness center is small but nice with new machines, etc. It's accessed with a room key and is $20/day. (Though I don't think I was charged.) Spa is in a different area and is I think $30/day.

I am Gold at Cosmo (levels are Silver, Gold and Platinum) and Gold gets you either free wifi, free fitness or free movie (I think one per day) for each day you stay at the hotel, but you have to pick which amenity and stick with it. I knew I had to work so even though wifi is cheaper than the fitness center, I picked the free wifi each day. Love that you can pick the amenity you want. Also, I think you can get Gold automatically with a Diamond Card? Not 100% sure but I think that's how I became Gold when I played there intensely for a couple of days in December before seeing the Stevie Wonder NYE concert! Now I've played enough to have earned Gold status, which is a good for a year. Not sure what it's worth as everything is about ADT but figured I'd pass this info on.

Okay, I've said enough. ONLY thing I don't love is that lots of youngins around but not too bad. Lots of beautiful older sophisticates too. Youngish clientele walking around for clubs but at check in you see more "seasoned" (my word for "older" LOL) folks like me too. Oh, pool area is pretty neat too.

I am so ready to spend part of my birthday trip there. Hoping for 3 comped nights again (I had 3 comped nights, $300 in FSP and $300 in food/beverage comps) but if I got a good rate that was less than $100 a night for non-comped nights I might even consider paying for a couple of extra days and use CET stays with two different CET offers to bookend my trip.

Yes, Cosmo has some kinks to work out but, even with not-great VP, I am sold.

If Cosmo had a sister property in AC, CET would be in trouble . . .
What the heck are you guys finding to play there? According to VPFree the best game is DB returning 99.1 and that is at the $50 and above! For $1 and $2 players the best is 7/5 BP returning 98.01.

THANKS for adding all that great info FF !!!

Marc, not to worry, theres Lots to play IF you don't mind OTHER Than single line.
Well, actually I DID play a single line MG quarter Prog that was around 1600 when I arrived
and hit at 1870. I was changing to a different bank. Found out they were linked.
I literally was walking up to the New bank I discovered, when it hit. dammit.
Only one lady playing on that bank, and she got it. sigh.

I played a new game, triple play quarters, Build A Wheel. Heckafun.
Only 2 of em. Unfortunately they are right next to some table games that were Loud,
with young'uns like FF was talking about. lol

I also played some silly Penny slot machines. Which I never do but, found a few Triple 5X 10X,
with all the bells & whistles. Got lots of wins (not big ones) but very entertaining, and I
figure racked up points faster. lol

Can't wait to go back.
Yes, wish it was Linked with Other props!!!

Marc, I have to confess while at Cosmo I played mostly slots. I know, 5,000 slaps with a wet noodle. I like STP and Double STP. I didn't see a Double STP machine so played STP and the pay table was not great. I played knowing the pay table wasn't great and that does suck but the paytables weren't any worse than those generally at CET properties where I also play, so apples to apples, it's about the same though Caesars, Bally's and Flamingo do have Double STP machines and those are now my favorites. (If you like progressives there are a fair number of them, so if it's high enough the progressives presumably become playable even for folks who like just purely FP games. Don't get me wrong, I love real FP and get my FP fix at Palace where I can play 10/6 DDB in nickels all the way through dollars.) Anyway, not making excuses for the poor paytables but I just find it's either my trip or it isn't and the price I pay for playing poor paytables until hopefully I get a aces with a kicker or some other good 4OAK is a price I'm willing to pay to some degree for comped rooms and other amenities that for me are worth the "price" I paid.

My Christmas/NYE trip I could do no wrong. It was the best (gambling wise) Vegas trip I've had in 20 years. I stopped counting the W2Gs I earned, almost all at strip properties and about half were from slots (including 2 from Cosmo). I returned home with seven times my bankroll, and that was AFTER having given some money back.

This past trip? Horrific. Still enjoyed CLV and Elton John concert and hotel room but the gambling was the worst I've had in 20 years. Thank goodness it wasn't as bad as my December/January trip was good.
Nope no slaps at all! For most of us Las Vegas is a fun time and vacation not a job. As long as folks know the odds and make good choices within the available games then I have no problem. And by that I have seen folks playing 9/5 JOB for example when on other machines, in the same property and at the same denominiation there are 9/6 machines.

Nothing wrong if you enjoy slots too.

Just wondering if you guys found something not listed was all. It was NOT a criticism.
