Newly remodeled Gold Coast rooms - fantastic!!!

I just returned from a 9 day trip trip in Vgeas 2 of those days I was double booked at the Gold Coast and Ceasars. I usually double book at either a Stations and or Coast casino since their offers are plentiful and include some food /fsp. plus i know that I'm gonna play all of my VP at their properties and only dabble with paigow and poker at CET. So call me amazed when I checked into GC and then arrived on the 9th floor. The hallway was completely remodled. New carpet on the floors, new walls....orange, brown and white. Actually reminded me "briefly" of Red Rock hallways (with less orange). When we entered room 909..I was in 1 word "SHOCKED"! Flat screen t.v., all new furniture and even the bathroom (albeit on the small side i.e. dont bend over while you brush your teeth becasue your butt will hit the door) was newly remodeled with a sliding door!

Call me impressed! We actually had no intentions of sleeping in the room. However after my girl hit her first paigow Royal in Vegas ($1,250.00), (less than 3 hours after she landed from Buffalo), which she quickly followed with a Baileys and coffee. that drink knocked her out so she then decided to crash in the room while I tried, unsuccessfully, to duplicate her "Royal" feat. She was even impressed by the bed. And that's no small thing!

If you havent seen the new rooms (which is actually posted in the LVA news today) and you have stayed at The GC before...then you can't help but be impresed. Their remodeled rooms remind me of the newly remodeled rooms at the palace Station that took place a couple of years ago, in their towers. These look nicer than those did!!

Kudos to GC...a good casino just got better!!!!
Very cool hallway at Gold Coast.. .
photo posted per Champ's request.

Thanks for posting that photo Lisa (im having no luck with "photo bucket"). I was so shocked when I got off the elevator I just took that picture. I was even more shocked when I walked into my room, although the hallway was a good indicator of what was next when I opened rm 909!
That was my experience back in January when I booked some friends there and checked out the room...9th floor too. They really did a nice job with what they had to work with. My friends said to book them there again...they liked it better than previous bookings I've got them at Rio, Orleans & ST.

Good to hear Champ.... How was the San Fernando band?
I am ashamed to say that the Ballys poker room kept me tied up till 1 a.m. .

However I am glad to report that the Gold Coast dealt my girl a $1,250.00 Royal in less than 3 hrs of her arrival to Vegas (in Paigow). We had planned on returning to GC from Ceasars later on the at night but we began the day with using our $40.00 coup (bought for $20.00) at Blondies in the Miracle Mile shop. From there we played paigow at Paris for about 2 hours and then proceeded to Bally's Paigow tables to see if our luck is better!

On the way to Ballys Kim bought a Pina Colada. That drink (or tuna sandwich at Blondies) knocked her out. So she went back to our room at Ceasars. When the time arrived to head back to GC for San Fernando band, my girl was in no shape. So the 3/6 game at Ballys had me as a loyal customer for the night!!

I actually tried to get to the "M" on Saturday night to see them perform there but alas the 4/8 half kill game at the Sunset Station had me locked in!!!

1 thing is for sure I will be back to the Gold Coast!
thanks for the post. I arrive there on 4/16 and hope I get one of the new rooms. I have never stayed there before. After that, it's on to Palace Station for 5 more nights.
I will be there 4/17 for 2 nights, then again on the 21st for 3 nights.

Stayed for my 1st time last October, and got one of their remodeled Premium rooms.
Very nice, I was impressed.
Right on! Thanks for the info. I have stayed at GC a few times and will welcome the new rooms.
Stayed in one last month, still can't believe they didn't put safes in the remodeled rooms.
