Orleans Defender No More

Interesting take--I played poker at Orleans recently,

On your last trip report you said you only played at 4 Queens & Southpoint; or is this another make believe trip?

Dave, there's a good chance I'll be visiting then, and I'd be happy to meet up.

Kevin posted this on 10/3; a days later he is allegedly in Vegas.  One would think he might have mentioned that he was heading to Vegas in a few days.  Or is the the 3 week trip only in his mind?

Try not to be an asshole, Tom. And at least have the decency to keep your personal attack shit in the Sink, where you have already made another post calling me a liar for saying I recently played poker at the Orleans.

You make yourself look pretty damn stupid when you claim to know one way or the other. Have you been stalking me?

Jesus.

I cant find anywhere that's as generous as 4 years ago.    That is the current environment.   Despite downgrades on several fronts I do get plenty of free room offers from several places....none of which I am more than a second or third tier player in......El Cortez, Stratosphere, Boulder Station.

I've decided to fight back by boycotting gambling in Vegas until things get better.  Reno, here I come.

While Reno casinos have downgraded their gambling/comps/value recently, it's been nowhere near as bad as Vegas. You can still find 3:2 BJ, $5 minimums, free parking, and low resort fees. And there's plenty of 99%+ VP.

My main reason to go to Reno has been, I love the weather. And I always take an afternoon to drive up to the lake.

I am pretty much with the OP on the Orleans and Boyd in general too. I have stayed at Boyd properties since 2012. Worked my way up to having $20 in food and $25 slot play along with 3-4 nights comped including Saturday. They have slowly chipped away for a few years where we had to split our comped stays between Orleans/GC and Cal/Fremont. This year my lowest is $20 per night everywhere but Sam's Town.

I think I'll do that just because the Strip for sure and Downtown now are losing my intrest.

I've visited Sam's Town before but never stayed.

Boyd is a mess and cares very little about their players. I have stayed there the past 15 March Madness. This year wad told they couldn't comp me other than the first two nights

I had a call with Regional VP she made no sense

I have never been more than Saphire this is first year I get to Emerald and they cut my comps! I have been 6 nights comped a visit 4 times a year for over 10 years and now they cut me off....so ridiculous!

Go figure....with the bacterial issue at the Orleans getting headlines, I get a call and they can now comp my entire trip. Sounds like people have been re located to other Boyd props freeing up rooms at their plsce.

Well, that doesn't make too much sense...if they think a room is contaminated, to the extent that they remove and relocate the guests in it, they wouldn't turn around and rent that same room to someone else.

It may have been, though, that new bookings fell off (or WAY off) because of the issue. Frankly, I wouldn't go there until the entire place had been thoroughly disinfected and given a clean bill of health by whoever does such things.

People with reservations were given the option to re locate to another Boyd property. This obviously freed up occupancy. The issue occured in December and January

I was there for a week in January. I was simply making the point that as soon as they needed guests the phone rang. 🤣
