Orleans shuttle

It was a few years ago--I had gotten up to Emerald with Boyd, and then I didn't visit for about six months, and I found out I had been kicked downstairs to Ruby--and I found out that Ruby doesn't earn any points at all. I asked them if I really would have to go through the process all over again and they said yes, as far as they were concerned, I was a new player and my play history didn't count. So as far as I'm concerned, they can pound sand. I had a player's card with them for 20+ years and probably had over $5 million coin-in. Now, I'm worthless to them, apparently.

Coudn't agree more.  I was in the same boat.  

 As I had posted here before, I have been downgraded to Sapphire from Emerald, but being Emerald was only useful to me for allowing me to use the Emerald line for the buffet. Since Boyd's has shut down their buffets (with the resulting loss of locals business), I no longer need/want the Emerald card. Currently, I only gamble at a Boyd's property on Tuesdays, which is 10 times points day. Whenever there, I use my points for food. Other than on Tuesday's, gambling at a Boyd's property is dead to me. I was there last week on a Friday to eat at the Sun Coast and the casino at 7-8 pm was dead. I drove to South Point and the place was packed. Goes to show you the effect of running a casino the right way (South Point) and how to ruin a casino (Sun Coast). The bean counting management team at Boyd's has ruined the Boyd's name and their casinos are suffering.

It was and they had shifted to a large tour bus. When I was there in June they had stopped all shuttles for good.

I asked in mid-August and was told they had stopped all shuttles.

Thanks for confirming. Just another nice customer service amenity that they've snuffed out. They still expect us to come eagerly rushing to visit them, though--and pay their high prices.

I visited the Orleans a few weeks ago, and the list of things that were no longer there, no longer available, or had doubled in price is too long to relate here. The Vegas casino experience has gotten objectively worse.
