Orleans Update

I ended up speaking with the VP of marketing today. She was kind and heard me out. She explained to me the issue was a huge cheerleadering group that had them oversold.

Said I should not see the issue going forward. For my inconvenience she bumped my status up for next year.

She explained this was a rev management issue. I had mentioned LVA and my disappointment that they were not a partner anymore. She brought up our very own Anthony Curtis and said he is well versed on the issue. I laughed and told her my guess would be Anthony does not agree with their approach but I could be wrong! 🤣🤣🤣

Great!  It pays to ask/discuss/complain, etc.  Too bad your Host sort of misled you, or perhaps was misinformed?  Did you get the six nights comped?  Glad it seems to be working out in your favor.

I really like my host, she was just doing what she could I guess. Lady could not extend the extra 2 as they are oversold. She did say she would keep an eye on it for me. Worst case I move to Bally's for last two nights and use comps there.

"Oversold"...grrrrrr...one of the meanest, nastiest, scariest words in the English language.  Hotels, airplanes, 

JMHO.  

Happened to be there today...hotel smells bad.

Boyd's is having a 25% off all wine sale and since the Orleans has their own larger liquor store...we made the trip.  Store is closed and there is a sign directing to the gift shop which had about 60 bottles.

At least Big Al's is still open although we did not eat there today.
