Palace Station...Are you serious????

I got an email Weds. from Palace Station my (soon to be former) home casino. It stated in big bold letters
"$2,500.00 SLOT TOURNAMENTS"
" PLAY IN ONE OR PLAY THEM ALL!"
"You're invited to enjoy a 2-night stay for only $32.99/night in our deluxe Tower Rooms.... While you're here you can play in our August $2,500.00 Slot tournament..."

Wow $32.99 a night for a shot at piece of 2.5K. All the other tourney offers for July/Sept of THIS year are 3 free rooms and at least 10 K in the pool. What gives with this promo?

And should I believe that Palaces offer of $32.99 a night ( $65.98 for 2 nights) for a shot at 2.5K is better than the Gold Coast/Orleans 33 a night ( 99 for three nights) for a shot at 10 K???

Plus I'm still waiting for my Sante Fe July 1st - to August 30th mailer/offer to appear!

There must be something in the water in Vegas. I hope that they get it sorted out soon!

The number of 2.5 is a combined TOTAL of what they are 'giving" away.
I'd stick w/ orleans-- actually, I did stick w/ Orleans/going end of the month
Palace rooms are lacking

I'm truly dissapointed in Palace... Noah cat. I'll be at the Orleans from 8/21 to the 23rd.

Got the same offer. Don't forget to add on the resort fees for an extra $30 bill!!! Go figure!!!

Maybe they are hoping (or counting on the fact) that maybe people will be stupid enough to just fixate on the words $2,500 Tournament and not realize how much this is going to cost them versus the return that they might end up with.

And yes, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if that ridiculous Resort Fee was added on top of those not great room rates as well!

Stayed at Palace Station last Saturday night......not a fan.

Used to stay there all of the time---then not for years. About a year ago we decided to stay again, mostly for old time sakes. Disappointed. Buffet has crashed landed with massive number of loud kids every meal. Decent VP. But really, a RESORT FEE for that rundown neighborhood casino. We've decided there is no longer a reason to go there, and clearly not to stay there. Too bad.

We went to the dinner buffet Saturday night and were disappointed, even more so at Sunday Brunch which was

Saturday's dinner left overs with an omelette station.
