Palms - Loss Rebate for New Sign-Ups

It was just posted on the vpFREE forum that the Palms has announced a $50-$500 loss rebate program for new sign-ups. Clark County residents are excluded.

Thanks for posting, but I don't think its really a fair offer........at least for MOST of us.
Who HASN'T signed up there at one time or another? Its been open for years........

Cosmo is much newer so better chance for NEW sign-ups, plus, the Cosmo deal is better, for New & those already signed up.
Thanks for posting this info. I'm going w/2 friends who've never joined their slot club; unfortunately, they've configured this so I'd only get a 30% rebate on this trip by playing 1 of their cards (I know it says not to do so, but I'm assuming if I only play games w/a maximum $1000 payout no one will be checking). However, that still beats any other rebate offers I could take advantage of other than Cosmo (signed up w/their offer last summer, won and never took advantage of it--am hoping it'll still be in play on this trip, based on other threads I've read).
Hmm. The rules don't say when the losses must be incurred. I'm assuming within 24 hours of signup.

But the VP for those to whom $500 means something is so much better at the Palms. And $500 is 5X more than $100.
My wife and I are taking our son and his buddy (Spring break from Purdue) to Vegas in March. We arrive on Sunday 3/11 and we intend to go to the Palms Monday morning for Steak and Eggs (using the MRB up to $50 coupon in the coffee shop). We are going to buy the Palms Slot Play Coupons (this offer is discussed at the ACG site) for all four of us - $50 play for $25 for new members (the boys) and $40 play for $25 for present members (my wife and I). I see nothing in the rules as presented that would keep the boys from using the coupon and accepting the loss rebate if they were to lose. Anyone have thoughts in that regard?
The biggest problem I see is the fact that you have to collect any loss rebate over time. 30% within 24 hours, 30% between 14 days and 6 months, and 40% between 3 months and one year.
I did see something in the rules that any machines marked non-promotional are not eligble for this promotion. Does anyone know whether the machines with the 9/6 Jacks or Better are eligible, both for getting the rebate and for redeeming free-play?

If those machines are eligible, then using this promo along with my 3X points coupon in the ACG and various half-price promotions such as the LVA Palms comp and the half-price promotions on Thursdays for people 50+ might make this a good play.

I typically don't do new member promos at places where I don't expect to play/stay in the future, and I doubt that I'll play enough to qualify for mailings and other offers at the Palms, but I am staying a couple of nights at the Gold Coast next month, so it might be worth walking across the street. After all, in nearly 40 trips to Vegas, I've never set foot in the Palms. If they're going to make it worth my while to set foot inside, maybe it's about time.
You should have set foot in the Palms when the had the 100+% return video poker machines. Those are history. If they now still have anything as good as 9/6 JoB the machines escaped my recon last month.
Supposedly Palms still has 9/6 JoB 99.54 as well as
Triple DB 99.58
NSUD 99.73
And 2 remaining DB 100.17
