Palms Offer

I haven't played at Palms in about two or three years and I still get e-mailed offers from them for like discounted room nights (like for $69 a night), but that's really too high end of a place for me and I also will not pay a Resort Fee -- especially on a Free Room!

Palms did away with charging on comped rooms. I just got back and no fee was even mentioned. Read your offer carefully. I noticed right away that it made no mention of a resort fee. I asked the reservationist and she backed that thought up.

They have raised their RF to $20 per night for the paying customers. Blech!
That's good news.

Might give them some play on my visit in April when I'm staying at the Rio.
agreed. I just got a similar mailing to the offer mentioned above (three free nights, but not the other stuff). I asked about the resort fee and they said I didn't have to pay it on comped rooms.

I haven't stayed there before and am looking forward to it, especially the "new" poker room. We go at the end of this month.

I'll probably give them some play, but I don't play slots unless someone at home gives me the money to do so. That's how I got free rooms at the Rio for my April trip. I'm not playing slots just to get a free room with no resort fee.
Is there anyone out there who receives monthly local offers
from the Palms. We do but we did not receive one for Jan. 2014.
My wife and I were receiving 300 a month in FSP and we played
a significant amount in early December b4 going on vacation
on the 20th. Have heard rumors they have recently undergone
another mgmt change so perhaps they are deferring their monthly
mailers as we still received e-mails for gifts this coming sat and sun.
Any info someone might have would be greatly appreciated.
Both my wife and I have received the January mailer. The free play levels were as expected and are in line with past mailers.
Something does seem to be going on. We usually get an upgraded room on our offers, now we have to give up the free play to get the upgraded room. There newly remodeled rooms are not that great!
Definitely has been some sort of management change in the last 60 days
The new management group which is I believe controlled by Colony Capital
is having a mixer with customers tomorrow night. May go with a friend who
was invited (I wasn't) and see what in the words of Jethro Bodine "I can CIPHER"

The changes do not appear to be good. Elimination/Significant reduction of FSP.
Elimination of some good contests they held last year, no more quarterly coupon
books which were very good. Maybe we do miss the Magoofs after all. I know
Sacto doesn't.....
I agree!! I would rather have the Maloof's back. We may be looking for a new home base!
