I'll post a full TR a bit later but just had to post regarding dinner & drinks at Simon. Simon is located in the Palms Place- the new tower west of the original Palms. It is on the 6th floor and has very nice views of the pool and Palms original tower. You get to Palms Place via a 1/4 mile long series of moving walkways. Strange.
There were three of us. We had intended to make the happy hour and by all accounts it's too bad we didn't. Got there at 8-ish. Place was 90 percent empty. I wish the waitress had not come in either. Sat down and ordered three beers and three shots. 20 real minutes later nothing. No water, no beer, no shots. No waitress in sight.
I went to the bartender and explained things, then asked for the order right there- he seemed confused. I just said, "Give me 3 Coors Lights and 3 shots of Don Julio." He said, "...your waitress already put in the order..." I started laughing and said "OK fine, give me 3 MORE beers and 3 MORE shots."
Once again, the place was 90 percent empty.
Waitress comes by with the drinks after a minimum wait of 30 minutes. I asked if she was actually working or just hanging around? She seemed confused.
Slow. Confused. Slow. Confused. Slow. Her pattern continued. Terrible waitress. Our bill was $205. I left her nothing. Zero.
Sushi, salads & steak kabobs were OK.
