Palms sports book for watching football

My wife and I are taking a weekend trip in mid November before Thanksgiving with some friends specifically to watch a bunch of football. I suggested that we go to the Palms. We were there in April and August and I was impressed with their new sports book. Does anyone have any opinions on this venue? We are staying downtown and then traveling (transportation TBD) to the Palms. How hard will it be to get seats for about 4 people? How is the drink service? Anything else I can get an opinion on would be great. Thanks in advance!
I like the fact that their poker room is in their sportsbook (walled off by plexiglass). Or at least it was last March! I can play 2/4 LHE and watch multiple games. Be there next Sunday to see the BILLS beat up on the BENGALS!!
I stayed at the Palms a couple of weeks ago and spent some time in the sports book. I bet on some college football games. It was fairly crowded for the college games but absolutely packed for the Sunday NFL games. I couldn't find a seat around 12:30 in the afternoon which is when the morning NFL games are about to end. Maybe if you got there well before kickoff which is around 10 am local time for the morning games, you could find seating. I like the Palms a lot. They've been generous to me in recent years with comped rooms and more but it's not the greatest place to watch football even though the sportsbook has been upgraded, in my opinion. So I would bet games and watch at a different bar or back in my room in Palms Place which had two TVs I could watch simultaneously. But no one wants to be stuck in their room for too long in Vegas

I tried the Palms book last Sunday and they were jammed. I ended up at the Red Zone at the Gold Coast. Great place to watch any of the games. That's just me. Easy to concentrate on just a few big games

Forget about finding a seat in the book as most of them are reserved for the high rollers. Also no cocktail service in the book. Cantor gaming does not give out free drinks. The large screen TV's are great if you want to stand. Also the whole room in non smoking. Your best bet is to get a seat in one of the 2-4 limit poker games that is in the middle of the book. The drinks are free and plentifull while your playing. Also the pokerroom has a great promotion during NFL games. When the home team scores, they splash the pot with money. $25-50 depending on how they score. Great way to enjoy the games sitting down!! Good luck.
