Parking garage Robbery @ Gold Coast

We stayed @ Gold Coast April30th & May 1st. Car was broken into some time during the early morning hours. Half of our stuff was stolen. On our way home from wintering out west we always stop for a visit in Vegas. My recommendation is if you have any valuables u better valet park. I see today June 7th there is a stand-off because of a car thief. Were are the video cameras?

Sadly, almost any item left in a car creates temptation to break in.
Even in the wide open, a parking lot, your own driveway, anywhere.
Mail, packages, toys, anything, really.

As for video cameras in parking decks or other places, many aren't monitored.
Or they stopped working years ago and nobody noticed.

I heard the casinos are responsible for losses. Don't know if this is true or not. If anyone heard different, please let me know. We will be traveling to Vegas in January.

They have been known to cover damages to the car by the valet, but not for property theft.

Valet is no safer than self-park, just more convenient.

Valet drivers can't resist putting the pedal to the metal when parking an expensive/sporty car.

And they reset your radio to their favorite station, smoke in the car, and they can steal stuff and you can't prove it.

Certainly not all valets, but these things can and do happen.
