Question about Grazie gold

So I somehow managed to achieve gold card status with Venetian/Palazzo. I'm curious whether this status will mean anything other than access to the newly re-opened gold card lounge at Venetian (not hugely exciting, but a nice place to hang and have some cheese)?
Have any other gold card holders seen their offers change, for better or worse?

I used to be a Gold there for 10 years but let it lapse since their VP went to hell. After not getting any offers for almost a year I recently got one for 2 nights comped and $25 table play. I've had more luck there than any other place and really miss the rooms and lounge. Gold used to give you line pass at Grand Lux and other eateries as well as free shuttle to and from the airport. I had been Gold for 2-3 years. Last year they abandoned Gold Members and I abandoned them.
This year I guess they learned the error of their ways and started sending offers again and I took the bait. I have since re-earned Gold status and am inundated with offers. As long as they continue to send good offers I will continue to play there, if they ever do a repeat of last year I will stop.

Does V/P still honor Caesars Diamond card to upgrade to Gold?

Thanks, guys. And yeah, I agree, their VP is horrible. Palazzo is barely playable, but at least has machines. Venetian is a joke.
