red rock is getting cheap

I just stayed at Red Rock with a comped room. They used to give you free access to the spa and free wi-fi with your comped room.
I was told at check in the only fee would be the 'resort fee'. I said I've never had to pay the resort fee with a comped room and the front desk manager told me that I could choose not to pay it but that there would be a $10 daily fee to use the spa and a $14.95 daily fee to use their wi-fi.
Red Rock USED to be my favorite hotel to stay at due to the luxury afforded your entire experience while at their resort. Now it looks like I'll be staying elsewhere. Palms has free wi-fi in their rooms with a comped room.

Stu, I just stayed there 4 nights comp. The trick is AVOID the Front desk if you are comped
and check in at VIP services behind the glass doors. Much less hassle.

Wish I discovered that ages ago..........but usually the Front desk isn't crowded so would
just check in there.

Last couple trips, RR Front desk was busy, so I went to VIP. Yes!
Got better rooms, water, coffee, VIP card to use those elevators. Much nicer!

the water CLV mentions is the pretty tall VOS water... been sneaking in there for years.

Can either of you tell me if this VIP services is available only to high rollers or can a low-level Chairman status person use it as well? It sure sounds like a better experience than the front desk!

I've been President since they started it and have always checked in at VIP. Very quick and I seem to always get what I want. They even make all the restaurant and spa reservations for me.

If you are comped (I was only Plat., but now Pres.) check in at VIP and don't bother with Front desk.

Sometimes it CAN get busy in there, but usually worth the wait.

Noahcat, the Vos water is gone, and replaced with same waterbottles as on casino floor. oh well.
