I understand closing the Fiesta Henderson which always struggled to attract crowds. I beleive Red Rock has said they are planning a new casino in a different site for the Henderson area.
The other two I dont understand...at least demolishing both. Texas Station was always packed whenever I went in there. It was a favorite of both locals and tourists alike. Frankly it was much more popular than Santa Fe Station which remains open.
I was a personal fan of Fiesta Rancho but it did seem a little crazy to have two full sized Station casinos next door to each other.
To bad, I guess they couldn't find a buyer

Fiesta Rancho was Maloof's first Vegas property. It was wildly successful and when the opportunity came to cash out and buy the Palms, he took it. At the time, Stations was in Borg mode and had dreams of utterly dominating the locals market. They "acquired" several properties---Santa Fe, Reserve--that didn't really make much sense to buy. But in the 2000s, even a poorly situated, badly run locals casino would make money.
Now, not so much.
