RIO

Staying at the Rio for the first time and I'm not impressed. The rooms are nice but get a lot of smoke from the restaurants below coming thru the vent. The staff is not that friendly and had a lot of problems in our room. The staff here could really use a course in customer service. It's a real shame...we were really looking forward to staying here. Wish we would have stated put a Bally's instead of changeing hotels.
RIO is the finish product of Harrah's
Very ture... Harrah's is getting worse by the second!
I've found Rio rooms (at least in the Ipanema Tower) to be fine, but it's too bad that Harrah's places (including Rio) in the Las Vegas area don't have good VP (otherwise I'd play there)!

RecVPPlayer, We are staying in a IPanema room. The room isn't bad but there were a lot of problems in our room. All have now been fixed but the aggravation and poor customer service have made our experience something we will never forget.

I haven't had any issues with the rooms or the service at Caesars Palace, but a couple of years ago I took an offer that included a $300 macy's gift card and my hotel choices did not include Caesars or Paris. I picked Rio and did not enjoy my stay there at all! I think Rio is their most neglected property
In January when we stayed at the Rio, we were over the kitchen vents, and it was hard to sleep in, because our room always smelled like pancakes in the early am. (But of course there are far worse things our room could have smelled like.) We have stayed there twice and really liked it. It seems to be a good value for the price.
The only problem I ever remember there being in a Rio room was no type of mat in the shower to make it less likely that a person would slip in there.

Maybe we were just lucky (and we were always put on higher floors).

We stayed there last summer and enjoyed it for the most part, but you could see what a great property it could be if they cared.
Karen, We have never stayed at Ceasers but have stayed at Bally's severl timesand have never had a problem. When we came two year ago we stayed at the Paris with my in-laws and it was not that great. They too did not really care about the property or the guests.
