The RIO - any suggestions?

Over March Madness, I had a remolded room in the Masquerade Tower. Living area was smaller than the other room and the bathroom/dressing area was larger.

Looks a bit more modern! Did you like it better? It is DEFINITELY time for the RIO rooms to become modernized and I am very happy to see this - as I love the Vibe of the RIO!

I prefer the layout and neutral colors of the room on the diamond floor of the Ipenema tower. This room was larger and a tad nicer than your average Vegas hotel room.

I just noticed the Rio has posted a new classification of rooms as the "Samba" suites. Does anyone know which tower these suites are in? Ipanema or Masq.

Rio tends to call all their rooms suites and most are large rooms with a separate dressing area connected to the bathroom. The room pictured above looks similar to their "Samba" suites, remolded room in the Masquerade Tower.

What is the current resort fee for the Rio?

$18 but waived for Platinum or above.
