Sam's Town Host

Got an interesting letter in the mail yesterday from the VP/GM at Sam's Town informing us that our host of many years had "retired". I found it surprising that the letter didn't come from the host herself.

Equally interesting was the fact that there was no mention of assigning us to another host.

Is it just my paranoia or is there something else going on out there??

I think it is amazing that you got the letter at all.
I suspect Hosts aren't 'permitted' to contact their players for a certain period of time after their departure, though I don't really know that.

It may be just as well that they didn't "assign" you to a Host. Ask for names of good ones, and contact that person.

We have had many hosts leave other properties. Never have they contacted us. I don't think they are allowed to do that. Call and find out who you can have as a new host. If you are entitled to one, one will be assigned to you.

Just my $.02 worth, but I have had numerous hosts who have left a property who have either called or emailed their new contact info or sent their new property offers. Not sure if they have to sign a non compete agreement or not.

Rebecca was our host back a number of years ago. She was always great. I find it hard to believe she is old enough to retire. Something sounds fishy to me. Just my take on it.
