Sam's Town promotion

Anyone care to venture what a '$5,000 Cash Grab' offer would entail? Never seen (or received) an offer like this from Sam's Town.
Small print says 'details will be provided at check-in'
Perhaps the best incentive is 11X points on slots and 7X points on VP for the entire Sept. 9-11 stay. Another way of trying to attract 'out of towners' as opposed to local point multipliers?
I've received those mailers in the past and every time I respond they're sold out. I suspect that they also go to locals who get their mail and sign up quicker than out of towners.

That sucks!!!
My husband has participated in that offer a couple of times. They do limit the number of participants but we never had trouble getting in. Everyone gets a cash prize. Most are $10, $20, or $25 but then they also have $50, $100, $200, $300 and top prize of $500. The big draw is the point multiplier for the days you are there.

Thanks for the information. I went ahead and booked it with no problem last week and reservation clerk said it was a cash drawing.
Sam's Town used to send out only one offer per mailing address, but in the last year or so, that is no longer the case. The wife and I both now receive offers.
We were previously booked in five nights on a gold card offer in her name.
Overlapping that stay for three nights is this promotion which came in my name, so I booked that, too.
Two rooms at the same hotel/casino with the same last name...that's a first for us.
Reservation clerk said it was OK to to take advantage of the offers since they were in separate names.
Just hope it's not an issue.
Yes, the point multiplier is the big draw for me, too.
I don't think you have anything to worry about as I don't think Sams is anywhere near capacity for being booked.
We also have done back to back offers at the Boyd properties and there never was a problem.
One suggestion - you may want to check the offer carefully and review the fine print. We received a different offer that also included the 11x points on slots and 7x points on VP for our entire stay but in the fine print it noted that it was limited to a maximum of 10,000 points multiplied. Not sure what your level of play is but for us that is less than one day's activity. Still a nice bonus though.

I did that. It states: "Point multipliers earning period begins at 3 a.m. on the first day and continues through midnight on the final day of the event."
That is the BIG attraction of the offer.
What does have me a little leery is the next sentence that includes: "Offer....cannot be used in conjunction or in tandem with any other offer or event."
Well, since we will be registered under the wife's name and this offer came in my name, I would take that as offers under two SEPARATE names.
Like I stated earlier, we now get separate offers from Sam's Town, so I can't imagine that we would be the first couple to ever try and fit in two offers on the same trip.
That's why I was hopeful of hearing from anyone who has done this before.
What does seem silly is on the second day of the five-night stay under the wife's name is I go down and check in again to get another room to take advantage of this three-day offer in my name.
