Silverton has never been "video poker friendly". They cater to slot players. All the point multipliers are for slots only. The joint is empty most weekdays.
If you want good video poker, go a few miles south to South Point. Michael Gaughan knows how to run a casino for both locals and visitors alike.
It's hard to believe that an off strip property would have such poor video poker
Wiow!! Just got the Silverton mailer for January 2019, and...low and behold...there are point multipliers for video poker! First time in years. Lets hope it continues.
2x points on Mondays (except MLK day) and Wednesdays with Thursday 1/3 thrown in as well.
The 2x points are equal to .6% added to the base game.
Update on Silverton - They changed the coin-in to earn 1 point on video poker from $2 to $4.
So the "double point" days bring you back to what you would have earned prior to the change. Now if you play video poker on non double point days, you are really getting screwed!!

It's really even worse because the old rate was $1 per point on most video poker not $2.

They used to have solid 8/5 BP at the bartops but Silverton has never been a great "players" casino.
Its strictly a coupon stop for the polynesian night buffet and then I'm out the door.
As long as Southpoint has the fantastic games with .33 comp or cashback, I don't see any reason why a person should stop by at Silverton unless there's a good buffet deal or a coupon to be redeemed....
Is anyone able to give any updates on paytables at bartops at Silverton? I've been used to playing 8/5 .25 JOB at the Flare bar there. I know it's not the best, but I could stomach it because we like it there. What about .25 JOB paytables on the floor?
I've looked at vpfree2 but see no mention of JOB (.25 or otherwise) for Silverton. Maybe I just don't know how to access the info on vpfree2.

silverton has been downgrading their vp games----- -----best bet if you like playing there is 25c 8/5 bonus games on the floor,none at the bar-----vpfree won't post games with bad returns if there are good games available
