Something Big is Coming

As an out of state visitor, I'm wondering if points will expire as I usually only make it to Las Vegas once a year.

We were at Palace Station July 9th, the website now says my points will expire July 1st, 2012.

The official rules say 13 months.

Here.

I played NSUD on the "Up to 99.8%" machines today at Fiesta Rancho and got 3 points for every $1 coin-in.

Okay good. Looks like any game returning less than 100% earns 3 points per dollar.

I read through the new rules but couldn't find answers to these questions:

Is it the same redemption rate for freeplay, cash back and comps?

Do the old points "spend" like the new points?

Do you earn tier points at 3 points per dollar or 1 point per dollar?

Do my 3x point offers mean anything anymore?

Looks like the same spend rate for food comps holds. They've been hard at work all day and the site's still holding to 25% off Gold, 50% off Platinum, 75% off President/Unlimited for food comps.

My balance shows the old points. I don't see why they would change this since the old points were harder to earn than the new points.

Since the new schedule is not a promotion or multiplier, but the new normal, they should count.

My last 3X offer was for 9/14. Probably not by accident. I sure hope they continue.
I just read the official rules and there is no mention of 600 points being $1 comp. It looks like it now takes 1000 points for $1 comp OR $1 cash back.

Hopefully I haven't read this right as this would mean a 40% reduction in comps. Hardly an upgrade.
Hey Sue
How is it going to work for locals? Right now, we get our offers from Aliante, because Stations decided we played there more. Is Aliante included in this new program? Can we use our offers, like 2 for 1 buffets at the "Stations" casino now and not only at Aliante? Doesn't look like Aliante is going to have their own slot club because they are training you on this new one.

While I like going to Aliante because it is so close, I miss going to the "stations" other casinos. I loved going to Red Rock. My son works there and I get to see him when we go if he is working, but why go there if only to earn or spend points when our offers are for"Aliante" I might have some of this wrong, because it has been 6 months since I was there , but I think you know what I am talking about. I seen on the Breeze some of what "Aliante casino" is offering so that is nice.

Will be back some time in October. Can't wait. It was 34 degrees when I got up at 8am this morning, brrrr

All comps are now 1,000 points = $1. This should not be a reduction in value since you'll be earning more points.

Tier level credits will be earned at 3 credits per $1 coin-in on all games EXCEPT video poker, which will be 1-to-1. Live keno will not earn tier level credits.

Nothing will change with mailers, comps, and preponderance for locals, Wanda. Aliante offers will still be good ONLY at Aliante, same as before. This is because of our separate ownership. But points can be earned and spent at all 18 casinos, once you merge your cards.

Points and tier level will expire after 12 months -- on 12/31 or 6/30. Cards will expire, too.

I can't recall how many tier level points are required to move up from Preferred card to Gold. But the other levels are:
Platinum - 40,000
President - 100,000
Chairman - 300,000

These are significantly lower than the old points needed. Some people's status will go up a level as soon as they consolidate their cards. Nobody's will go down in this process.

I don't know how you can say this. Last week when I was in Vegas on my current offers I got x3 points (as I have gotten for years with every offer) and I earned 0.5% comps.

When I visit again latter this year I will get x3 points automatically and get just 0.3% comps.

Now if I get x3 points ON TOP of x3 points that I always get THEN that is a HUGE upgrade. But it won't happen....

Thanks Sue.

I think everyone is still unclear about what happens with the 3x points promotional offers.

Do we actually earn 9 points per dollar when using these promotions?
