Thank you all for the info. I just signed up for a players card when in Vegas on 09/08 at the Red Rock. I only come to Vegas once a year, but this sounds like an improvement. Sue Casey, so nice that you support your employer in a positive way with your posts. I have read many of your posts and that is one reason I decided to try a Station casino for a day this time. Maybe I can make it out to Aliante Station next year.

I have a few questions.
Will they still have senior Wed with half price dining?
Will your points expire after 13 months even if you have play during that time, or will they expire only if the account has no activity?
I am a gold card. Do I get any discounts at the buffet or restaurants and if so after the discount can I pay the bill with points?

Yes, I believe Senior Wednesday will continue unchanged.

Points will expire after 1 year of no activity.

As far as the future of 3x points are concerned, I just took a look at my Boarding Pass offers on the website and I still show an offer for 3x points good during the period of Sept 16 - Nov 15 at all station casinos. My assumption would be that I'll get 9 points per dollar but I'm going to ask when I'm at RR next weekend and I'll let you all know.

Lauren, I would assume it works the same as boyd. If you are Sapphire you get x2 points every day, but on x4 days you earn x4 not x8. I'm sure we will find out for sure soon.

Also I have heard that the buffet discounts have changed for each tier (apparently the material being handed out at the players club doesn't match the website). If the material being handed out is correct it would be another big downgrade (i.e. gold going from 25% discount to 0%, Platinum going from 50% to 25% etc...)

So even if you have activity, your points will expire?? The points balance I have today, will be gone next Sept even if I have play on my card? So no more accumulating points to use later? Other casino programs wipe out the tier level points on a 6mo or 12mo basis, but never the accumulated comp points as long as there is play on the card.

My son works at Red Rock and he said that the restaurants will 1,000 points =$1. The buffet used to be 600 points =$1 so they changed that.
Now, the points I used in the past at $1 =1point will no longer get me a buffet for 600 points=$1. I will have to use 1,000 points to get a $1. I know that the points in the future will be earned faster so I guess I will cash in my the points I earned in the past and start over

Just checked my account and it still shows buffet is 50% off for Plat and 75% for Pres. According to my RR host, points accumulate if you play and do not expire. Thanks to the lowering of tier levels, I'll actually make Pres next week when I'm there...and its good for a whole year!

I had about 75,000 points in my Boarding Pass account. Last night I logged in and I now have about 125,000. I haven’t played at all this year.

My first thought was that they combined my Fiesta points with my Station points. However I think I have over 60K Fiesta points so the math doesn’t quite add up.

Then my next thought was that, with the new policy of 1000 pts.= $1 everywhere, maybe they raised my point total to maintain the same comp value. 75K points = $125 comp value at 600 pts. = $1 and 125K points = $125 comp value at 1000 pts. = $1. This is good news if that’s the case.

Anyone else have points added to their accounts in the last few days?
