Something Big is Coming

We both got bumped up a level. Tonycc got President and bcc got Platinum. Same as we have at B-Connected, Emerald and Sapphire.

The parking card is not that great - the special parking area is down in the basement, sparsely used, and is even a little scary, at RR and GVR. Plus the card expires when your status comes due, which was bad when it was 90 days but better with the longer term. A hassle to renew it and get a new card, so we don't bother. At GVR we park on the 215 garage roof, and at RR we park close to the doors in the east (not sure?) garage.

Another con:
Wi-Fi is no longer free if the room is comped and the resort fee is waived.
And, it has already been mentioned that the buffet discount has been bumped up a level - Plat is now 25% and President is 50%.
Offers are way down - used to be $75 now $40 + 4 free buffets now 2 free buffets. 2x points instead of 3x, but I guess I can't complain too much about that. We got in on the last 3x in September also.

I was worried that my points balance wouldn't get bumped because I cashed out two weeks ago, but even though I basically cleaned out my account I logged on today and suddenly a bunch of new points have appeared. Very nice.

Now I really, really don't have anything to complain about.
I checked my points online yesterday before going to breakfast at Gold Rush, and noticed there had been no point adjustments. When we got to the casino and traded in our old cards for the new one, the cashier said that yes, we would lose the 40% point discounts on our existing points. I'm really not a huge fan of Stations, but we live within a mile of GVR and visit there when we don't feel like driving to M or Montelago, so just figured it was one more way that they could tick me off. Granted, this IS an upgrade to their player's card for future play, and brings it more in line with M, South Point, Silverton, etc.

However, after reading the above posts, thought I'd go ahead and check my point balance again this evening....and WHAT? They actually DID adjust my point balance by 40%!!!!! Kudos to Stations for doing the right thing!

Still not a fan of the Fertittas and how they treat their investors, but this makes the occasional visit more palateable. BTW, Sue, although I live on the opposite side of the valley from Aliente, I've visited there several times (usually after the Nellis air show), and service there has always been excellent, as well as the sugar-free brownies in the buffet!

I had the same worry because I cashed out on Tuesday. I was also told when changing to the new card I would lose the 40%. Now, after I've returned from my trip, I logged into my Stations account expecting the same thing everyone else got. But I did NOT get the new points and I'm not happy about it.

vegasvp, I just read your trip report and am a little confused. If you cashed out your points at the end of your trip, why do you expect to see new points online?

Because I did not get the extra credit for points earned before this trip as the other posters did. I was told at the slot club booth I would not have my points adjusted for previous play and they were not. Now I get back and find out that others who had previously earned points were being adjusted upward. I just want to be treated like everyone else.
Both my wife and I got letters this week indicating they have bumped our points up...so no complaints here.
