South Point April Promotion

Originally posted by: Don the Dentist

Mrs. Don and I went to South Point this morning. We each "earned" 3 spins. For the six spins we got $107.50 in free play and points. And the spin feature activated at 3,300 points.

So the promo was good for an additional .54% in addition to the return on the game and the value of the 9,900 points. On NSUD its a total return of 100.6%. Ain't too shabby!

Looks like the amount per spin is about the same as it has been in the past. Good to know.

The other thing I was wondering is whether, as has been the case in the past, the better prizes will "bunch up" in the final few days. Last year, I saw six out of seven $50 prizes awarded (mine included) on the second to the last day of the promo--and that happened the prior year as well.

My wife and I will be there on the 24th doing this deal too. If you'd like to meet up at South Point that day we could arrange something maybe.

Today's results: Three spins each for Mrs. Don and myself "earning" $195 in free play and points equaling .98%.

Summary for two days = $302.50 in free play and points equaling .76% added.

Let's hope this great return continues!

Glad to see that you are doing well with what some poo-pah as a freebie.

You're chugging along at about $25/spin. That's got to be above expectation. Keep it up!

One thought I had: since, like before, this is being advertised as a "$500,000" promotion, but there are now only 3/4 as many days it can be earned, do you think the average prize is indeed larger than before?

Kevin, you may be on to something. I never thought about it. Of our 12 spins, only one was the 2,500 points ($7.50), which may confrim your suspicions.

That is a good point.  One less day per week to get spins......same promotion pool.

Yesterday's results - we earned $92.50 between us, for a .48% return. Our worst day so far.

This dropped our month-to-date return down to .66%. Very acceptable.

Going soon, looking forward to this promo!

Results for Monday 4/10:

We received $172.50 from the six spins. A  .87% return.

Month to date return is .72%.
