South Point August 2024 Promotion

So still right around a $25 value.  That's what I've seen as well since they went to one spin.

Kevin better get his rolls of quarters ready and drive down from Oregon.

Angry Jerry apparently doesn't comprehend what $20K coin-in means. Unless, of course, he's just being a prick.

It's kind of interesting how, no matter hiw a SP promo is configured, it's still worth about $25 a pop. I guess they've figured that that's ahat it takes to get locals in the door (who wouldn't have dropped by otherwise).

1 - $15

1 - $50

and two scoops of ice cream.

Whatever the motivation is for the South Point to offer this and/or any other type of promotions does not deter from their value, whatever the value ends up being. The one thing that some overlook is that there are few, if any, other casinos who offer any type of consistant promotions that can add value to those who gamble.I look at these bonus offerings much the same way as I look at free play - they are just more bullets in my arsenal that I have while chasing a jackpot.

If you make a few modifications to David's statement, it's mostly correct: "detract" instead of "deter," "consistent" instead of "consistant," "value FOR those..." instead of "value TO those..." and perhaps "ammunition" rather than "bullets in my arsenal," as an arsenal is a collection of weapons, and a bullet isn't technically a weapon. But excusing all that, the reality is that South Point's promos are indeed better than most of its competitors, but worse than they used to be.

Their hostility to LVA is really kind of stupid, though, as is their somewhat bizarre treatment of non-locals. I know someone who's a regular $1 denom VP player and visits and stays there three times a year, and he gets nothing but "casino rate" offers and the occasional $20 food comp in the mail. Even Boyd and Stations are much more generous to him.

Yesterday we each got $45 free play. For our 6 plays:

1 $15

1 $20

1 $40

2 $45

1 $50

Just over $35 per play. Assuming one just puts on the 1,500 points (we put on much more. Don't know if this has an impact on the value of the play.) its a 2.3% retrun.

David LUVVVS to repeat himself. He didn't fix his grammar and spelling errors, though.

I suppose we'll never have enough data to say for sure whether one's play over and above the threshold makes a difference in what prizes one gets.

Lewis loves to ridicule others and what they post - what the hell is wrong with him?  I will, once again repost my post - errors and all - Whatever the motivation is for the South Point to offer this and/or any other type of promotions does not deter from their value, whatever the value ends up being. No, I just love to ridicule YOU--because no one else here posts the same exact thing five times in a row in the same thread, out of pique. You made your silly "point" the first time. You may truly not understand that saying the same thing over and over doesn't make it any more TROOTY.

And you know why you're so worthy of ridicule? You absolutely will not be able to resist the urge to repeat your post for a sixth time.

Hopefully, other LVAers such as Don the Dentist will not be deterred (that's how you use that word, David!) by your presence from providing us with good information on South Point's promos.

Here we go, the loudest voice who complains whenever he is the just target of his actions and is talked about out of the "Sink"  - here we find him complaining about someone else and posting his complaint out of the "Sink".----  Oh, and once again, I will repost my comment that pertains to the current South Point promotion - Whatever the motivation is for the South Point to offer this and/or any other type of promotions does not deter from their value, whatever the value ends up being.
