Ah...so you didn't know what it actually meant until you looked it up. Do you still believe that the terseness of one's LVA forum postings affects the casino offers one receives?

I knew what it meant BEFORE I looked it up for you to read. Obviously you have a problem with comprehension - have a 3rd or 4th grader explain to you what I wrote and it's meaning.

You misspelled "its." My third graders understood this easily.

Your clumsy misuse of the word "terse" leads me to believe that you truly didn't know what it meant. But in any case, you weaseled away from the question: does the "terseness" of one's LVA forum posts affect the casino offers one receives? It's such an asinine contention, I figured I'd give you a chance to retract it.

Or are you claiming that my posts are "terse"--containing few words? Really? And don't try to point out the secondary definition. Misusing a word that way shows poor English comprehension.

We can argue about the meaning of the words you misuse all day, but that's like playing chess with a toddler. So how about you answer my question: do you really claim that the casinos examine the number of words in our posts--their "terseness," by the definition YOU supplied--and base the offers they send us on that?

Please surprise me and have the cojones to answer. Or admit you were full of shit and give me a heart attack.

Once again, you have bastardised a sane post into an argumentative discourse all the while insinuating that you are in possession of superior intellect. I tire of your vapid and trite, hackneyed nonsense. Do yourself a favor - refrain from this losing exercise - you really are not mentally equipped to participate.

No cojones. I'm done here. (derisive snort)

I've recently been playing live poker in Portland. $20 a day to play, no rake. No promos bleeding the pots, either. One gets very sick of playing casino poker and seeing $7 disappear from every single pot, even if some of it goes to a promo where you win 48 gazillion dollars if you lose with a straight flush in spades on a Tuesday. Or worse, to fund some promo that goes to the old men zombies as a reward for sitting there like tree stumps.

And good God, the action in Portland. There's a disease circulating called "bomb pots," which are all the rage. Basically two-board five-card PLO, but no-limit. I see $1000+ pots all the time. The skill level is pretty low overall. That goes for the regular 1-2 holdem as well. You should come try it sometime.

I'd do that $20 a day in a heartbeat for no rake.

Strange - I always get great offers from South Point and I live in the great state of Texas - and these offers have been a constant for years. As a matter of fact, I have trips scheduled for Oct/Nov, December and Feb/March - all with rooms comped @ South Point (and elsewhere) and with free play. I am not a high roller, just 25 cent - 50 cent - and $1 video poker player. I am an avid Jean Scot advocate and utilize being nice, showing respect and above all not whining, bitching and moaning. I believe that those attributes have and continue to pay off with the offers I receive.

Based on the superstition you talked about a month ago or so in regards to BJ play, I'd tend to agree with Kevin on why your comps are good there.

Plus it does seem like you go more regularly.  That helps as well I think.

David, Maybe this is an opportunity we shouldn't pass up!  Please consider this!

OK - l will state this - I wish no harm to Lewis. I do wish he would quit with the insults, the foul language and the lies he has continually posted in the forum for years. His hatred for Vegas is obvious and his political viewpoints are a base he utilizes to spew disgusting verbage to any and all who disagree with him. He seems to not be able to have civil discourse with anyone who has a differing viewpoint and he resorts to attacking them with a hatred that points to a larger problem within him. There will come a day when he no longer haunts the Advisor forums and I fully believe that everyone, including the Advisor staff, will breathe a sigh of relief.

Pretty much the same way I feel about Trumper David. He is, hilariously, under the delusion that his behavior is irreproachable and he always tells the truth. But I've reconciled myself to the sad fact that there are people like him everywhere you go.

We now return to our regularly scheduled program.

The bomb pot fetish is still in full swing, and there's money to be made, as many of the players have no clue how to play them. The plain old hold 'em action is juicy, too.
