South Point August Promotion

 For myself, I am not a local and I receive consistant South Point offers both in the mail and by e-mail. They include free rooms (any day of the week), free play and a resort comp.  All of my meals are comped - I do not abuse my food comps, I like the buffet and cafe and only use my comps at the restaurants there when with friends.I play many different video games, anywhere from 25 cent to $2. I also know all of the slot hosts and can pick up the phone and get free rooms whenever I need them. I give a lot of play in video poker  - with some blackjack play. Diversifying my video game choices and the amounts I play for seem to help with my offers. I don't think playing just one or two different video poker games at lower lewels is going to grease the comp wheels.

They definitely go off results as well.  I've hit a rare royal and my comps go down.  Kind of stupid actually because I'm way "under-royaled" there so hitting one shouldn't do that.  

    I don't doubt what you have said here. I have told you what has worked for me - maybe there is a reason for my comps within what I have said - it might be worth re reading. 

VP can be decently comped if it's some of the poorer games available at SP, which can range well below 98%. Blackjack play shouldn't return comps at any greater rate than the good VP.

I think they do evaluate your expected losses based on your previous play, so if you get any significant comps, you can apply the standard formula: if you get X comps, they're expecting you to lose anywhere from 3-5 times as much. So if somehow you're fooling them about that...

If everybody had "kept it to themselves," I would never have learned how to be an AP.

  I find this reaction hilarious - "I don't take orders." - And it is obvious that you don't think. Suggesting for others to "keep it to yourself" was my way of suggesting that if one finds a VP machine/game that has a good pay table at a casino that has predominantly poor VP, - keep it to yourself. I believe that one of the major reasons that casinos change VP pay tables is that people boast about finding one or more good paying games- instead of keeping the info to themselves. I know of many casinos that have VP with great pay tables that are not listed in sites like vpFREE2 and here in the Advisor. I have kept this info for these games and their location(s) to myself and I find that these games have not been downgraded or changed when I visit Vegas. I am not the only one who does the same. 

Yep. Some people share good info. Some are selfish. I'm not at all surprised that you're in the latter camp.

  Again, you, in your infinate wisdom, don't get it. I don't mind sharing with other players - but I won't share with the casinos. Casinos also read website postings and react accordingly to "protect their interests". Apparently you must be spoon fed ...

You do what you want, in your "infinate" wisdom. I'll do what I want. I don't take orders, especially not from your kind.
