South Point casino stands apart by embracing classic Las Vegas hospitality

Great read in the Las Vegas Review Journal -- https://www.reviewjournal.com/business/casinos-gaming/south-point-casino-stands-apart-by-embracing-classic-las-vegas-hospitality-3590054/?utm_campaign=widget&utm_medium=latest&utm_source=post_3591084&utm_term=South%20Point%20casino%20stands%20apart%20by%20embracing%20classic%20Las%20Vegas%20hospitality

Friendly place; very good vp; $5-10 minimums; 3/2 blackjack.  Always busy, food is very good and reasonable.  Great weekend shows for less than $40.  Lounge acts are free

If only they hadn't slashed their players' club benefits in half. They didn't have to do that--they were always busy anyway.

I would play there more if there weren't so many not just pigarette but also truly horrid cigar smokers. It seems like the cigar pigs LIVE there; I never fail to encounter them. Of course, even one of them stinks up everything within fifty yards.

The other real turnoff for me has been that you only get room comps, free play, etc. if you lose. I've been a member since they opened, and while my play has been at the same general level throughout, how good or bad my offers have been has depended on how badly or well I did during my most recent visit(s). Your comps should be based on your action; your results shouldn't matter.

I also wish that they would terminate their feud with LVA. I don't know what kindled it, but apparently it's still going on.
