February mailer says they will have the two floor-wide progressives starting on the 1st. One starts at $10,000 and must hit by $25,000. The other starts at $1000 and must hit by $2500.
More details will be on their website but they aren't there yet.

That's one of their worst promos, unfortunately--and the presence of the Super Bowl is probably what prompted it. The reason why it's so bad is that the likelihood of the player realizing any value from it is very close to zero. The larger amount is calibrated so that it hits every three days or so. In that time, how many thousands of people will have been playing? The smaller amount isn't enough to matter. I calculate the value of each part of the promo as about $1 per day you play. The exact value depends on how quickly the smaller jackpot builds, and in my experiemce and observation, that's not all that fast.
I much prefer their promos such as double points redemption or half-price gift cards. Those, you know you're getting something tangible.

Having a shot at something free is a definate long shot, but if you are there gambling anyway... South Point does have better promotions but I think they are offered during slower times as an incentive to drive business. It would be nice if other casinos ran good promotions, but I can not recall any in the last few years except for Derek Stevens at his downtown casinos where he gives away vehicles. If anyone knows of other casinos with great promotions I think it would be appreciated if they would be made known and listed here in the forums.
The rules for the February South Point promotion are now on their website: https://southpointcasino.com/casino/slots/500000-crazy-cupids-money-madness
