Does anyone know if South Point will have the usual spin to win promo in January? Their promotions page only lists the MLK day multiplier.

By now, they would certainly have put it on their website, so my guess is "no," which is unfortunately in keeping with their recent reductions in frequency and duration of promos.
That said, I have seen them drag their feet in updating their "What's New" page, so your best bet is to call the player's club. Hopefully, the boothlings you talk to will know the answer, though as a caveat, sometimes they don't even know what planet they're on, let alone what current promos are.
The promo at South Point for January is aimed at locals.
Do your "regular" free play Mon-Wed and gat an additional "regular" free play Sat-Sun. Do the for the four weeks in January and get "double" free play on 1/30 or 1/31.
Say your "regular" free play is $50 a week. That would be $200 for the month. The January promo increases the free play to $500. $100 x 4weeks + $100 at the end of the month.

Yep, been seeing a lot more of that lately as well. Hence the move downtown for me in January.
I love Southpoint but my mailer is now limited to just Sun-Thurs nights comped and their casino-wide promos are getting to be more localized.

I can't even blame them for this shitty idea, as Stations beat them to it many months ago with their "invited locals only" promo crap, followed by Boyd. It's great for locals, of course. Maybe they're in cahoots with local authorities to stop people from packing up and moving away !?
I've gotten this unmistakable message from them over the last year or so that I don't mean anything more to them than a jar of warm spit, regardless of how much I play or how much I bleed. So be it.
Got my offers for OYO (Hooters) today and it is weekday nights only as well. Most hotels are cashing in on CA weekend travel. I am still waiting on my Plaza offer. I got a general Plaza email (which they send out as well) but not my offers email yet.
However, hosts are sometimes willing to work with players. I remember in 2021 I needed a Saturday night for a conference. The rate at OYO (Hooters) was $200+. I was able to get it after a lot of back and forth. YMMV.
I have played at Southpoint in the past (a lot of roulette + slots) but have never received any offers whatsoever. You never really know what triggers offers unfortunately.
