Well, if you can earn points until 4pm, wouldn't that imply that you'd be able to use the breakfast; lunch or brunch comp the next day? Maybe it's spelled out elsewhere.

Probably either way, it's in the fine print in the brochure they have at the players' club. But yeah, I would expect that you would earn a voucher that you could use later.
Looking at the flyer, it seems that the requirement is that you earn all the points on the same day, which seems like a silly requirement. But as that policy diminishes the value of the promo, maybe that's the whole idea.
You have until August 7th to use any printed vouchers. It says it on the link in first post.
This is the second month in a row where the South Point has a non-monetary promotion. By "non-monetary" I mean a promo that does not have gift cards, extra free play, spin a wheel or play a game for free play at the kiosk. Hope this is not a trend.
At least its something compared to June, which was nothing.

I suspect it is very much a trend. Everybody likes money, but not everyone is going to want more than the occasional boofay. So while locals might max out some kind of cash/free play promo, they're not going to earn four buffets a week. So this is a self-limiting promo, and by design, less valuable.
I do, though, regard the gas/Wally Mart promo as equivalent to cash. There's also a pretty generous upper limit to that promo, which you can just blitz through to completion in a couple of days. Much better than having to revisit the joint over and over to get maximum value.
I commend South Point for the buffet offers, but for myself I would do the Palms offer of 500 points for two brunch buffets if all things were similar to you.
