South point rooms/hotel vs Suncoast rooms/hotel..your thoughts?

I have received offers from Suncoast off and on over the past 2/3 years but never took them up on their offer. Last month I received my 1st South point offer (2 nights free and $40worth of this and that). I've got my first 5 days locked down between Gold coast and Ballys and I have decided to wean myself off of stations completely because they continue to insult my intelligence and my level of contributions to them over the past years! (offers have gone down although my play stayed consistent).

My girl and I enjoy playing pai gow at both. I'm a LLHE poker player yet I never have never ventured towards either poker room. Ditto for the buffets at either nor the fitness center/spa! All of things matter to me at a hotel/casino!

I'm wondering, room wise, along with the aforementioned items, what my LVA family has to say about either location.

T- 35 days till March Madness!
Champ: I play at SP every trip and have no mailers to show for it. You're a better man than I! Roomwise, SP and SC are pretty much identical - I think Coast used the same architects for both. SC rooms do come standard with a fridge, though, if that's a factor.

I have never stayed at Suncoast, so I have no idea what their rooms are like. I have stayed at South Point a few times, and thought their rooms were nice. I'd compare them to the rooms at Sunset Station, only the rooms at SP are larger, and a little nicer. The workout area at SP is pretty basic - again, think Sunset Station - but a little bigger.
The buffet at SP is OK - nothing to write home about, but is reasonably priced. Never tried the buffet at Suncoast, but did try the buffet, next door,at Rampart, once - it was not good - and I'm not picky.
Location wise - I'd go with SP - you're close to M & Siverton, and the Strip is 10 minutes away. You're kinda "out there" at Suncoast - only thing close by is Rampart, and Red Rock - though you mentioned no interest in Stations.
Freat feedback Fredo and djlevin!

Thanks

I have stayed at both. Give me the Suncoast anytime. They also have a nice workout room and free in room internet included with my comp. South Point charges for the use of their gym. I also found the craps table dealer at the South Point to be a real horses ass about setting and throwing the dice.
HMMMM Thanks for that feedback drmilled. I definitely like to get in at least 1 workiuyt every other day. The south point gym...how does it compare to Suncoast's. My southpoint offer gives me $40..0 in "spa benefits" along with 2 free entries to their gym!
I never used the gym @ South Point- I refuse to pay for something that should be included in a comp.
Although I stay at SP frequently, I haven't used their fitness center in awhile. I thought, maybe I'm wrong, that access to the fitness center was included in their resort fee?

I stay at Sun Coast often. I think the buffet is pretty good. My wife loves the smoked salmon and bagels for breakfast served every day. I like the bone in ham and baked pasta for breakfast. I only play VP but they have a good selection of %99+ games to choose from. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom has two sinks which my wife loves. One other reason I stay there is that I do not drive while in Las Vegas (interferes with my drinking) and the WAX bus runs from the airport to the Sun Coast parking lot for $2. I have only stayed at South Point once and the layout was the same as Sun Coast.
