Stations buys Palms

So Station is buying Palms for $312.5 million. Guess they are trying to keep up with Boyd. Should close in the 3rd quarter. Been at least 50 visits since I've gone into the Palms.

I've never stayed at the palms, but I'm a big Stations guy. Had 2 relatives stay there last October during anniversary weekend stay in Vegas! Hope the deal is done before October 1!

I like the Palms, but their offers suck.

I guess they won't get any better with Stations taking over. I love Red Rock and GVR and get their "A" offers, but that's only $250 free play. Pretty bad when the A offer is that low. Of course, they have the play and stay offers where you can earn up to $1000 more free play with play, so that helps ($100 more at $25k + $250 more at $50k + $650 more at $100k). The good thing also is that when you swipe your card at the kiosk you will still get your regular monthly free play in addition to the up front free play offered with the stay and play offers.

But between Red Rock and Palms, I think I would stick with Red Rock.

Would be nice to see decent blackjack rules return to the Palms.....

I'm a big stations guy myself. I enjoy GVR(mostly because of American Casino), the only people left there are the Owners. I like Red Rock, but my luck is always bad there. Doesn't really make sense since each spin of the wheel or turn of the card is independent of each other. But luck is part of gambling.

I am working on trying to build my points using the 10x points, 3x points, play games that offer more credits and such. Swipe at the kiosk. Anyone else have tips on how to increase points other than the items I mentioned?
